UPDATE
On July 15, it was reported that the Money Shop is to close.
This has been confirmed on July 17, when the Money Shop website was updated with details.
See Money Shop to close – two million customers will be informed for details of how this will affect existing complaints. That is the best place for all discussion from now on and I am closing comments on this page.
If you had loans from Payday UK, Payday Express or The Money Shop that you struggled to repay, perhaps rolling the loans or having to borrow again every month, then you may be able to win an “affordability complaint” and get a refund of the interest you paid.
Read How to ask for a payday loan refund for details about what an affordability complaint is.
These three brands are no longer lending
These three large payday lenders are brand names of the same company, Instant Cash Loans Ltd, and they all have the same approach to handling affordability complaints.
Refunds apply to the Money Shop’s cheque based lending from their stores in the same way as other payday loans – if you gave them a post-dated cheque for £100 and were given £85 in cash, then the £15 difference is the interest you paid on this loan.
In October 2017, Payday UK and Payday Express stopped lending. In August 2018, the Money Shop also stopped lending. but its other business (pawnbroking, buying gold, travel money) still carried on.
Getting a list of your loans
Many people don’t have a list of the loans they took from a lender, so asking for a Statement of Account is usually a good first step. In 2019 Payday UK and Payday Express have been sending statements out promptly without a charge.
Now people have a different problem – how to work out what the statement means – because it looks so complicated!
This is what I suggest you do if you only had one loan at a time:
- Go through the statement dividing it up into loans. A loan starts with a line labelled Principal Deposit and it ends when the balance is zero. Then another one begins. Draw a line between loans and label them Loan 1, Loan 2 etc.
- The amount you borrowed is the Principal Deposit number. Unless you topped a loan up, there will just be one at the start of the loan.
- The amount of interest you paid is the sum of the lines for that loan labelled Interest Repayment. They should show in the Amount column as being in brackets, ie you paid the money.
- Ignore all the other lines (unless there are any late payment fees.)
It’s harder if you had more than one loan at once or if the last loan wasn’t repaid. But the general approach – that you borrowed the Principal Deposit lines and the interest you paid is the Interest Repayment lines – is still correct. It’s just difficult to be so clear that “This happened to loan one, this happened to loan 2.”
Searching your credit record
It’s fine for a lender to check your credit record when you make a complaint, but these should be recorded as “administration reviews” which don’t harm your credit score.
In 2016 for a few months some people had Payday Uk and the Money Shop incorrectly record a credit application – these searches were deleted in November 2016 and in January 2018 the people affected were automatically sent redress of £75.
How they usually reply to complaints
Asking for longer
You may get an email on the last day of the 8 week period they are supposed to respond to complaints in, saying that they haven’t completed their investigation. At this point you can send your complaint to the Ombudsman if you want – the lender will still carry on looking at your complaint even if you do this, so if they do make you a good offer you can then tell the Ombudsman you have settled the complaint.
These lenders sometimes make reasonable offers, so you may decide to wait a few weeks and hope you don’t have to bother with the ombudsman.
Although they are making some good offers, they also seem to turn down good cases, so deciding to wait is a bit of a lottery.
“We don’t know – please send bank statements”
Quite a few people complaining get a response towards the end of the 8 week period or after another few weeks from one of these lenders saying they aren’t sure if some of the loans were affordable or not and will you please send your bank statements so that they can look again at them.
Sometimes they offer a refund on some loans, reject others and list a few where they aren’t sure. Sometimes they reject most of them but say they will look at a few if you send statements.
I think you should normally send them the statements. Some readers have done this and then had some or all of those extra loans refunded. Others have had the extra loans rejected.
If you want to accept their offer and send the bank statements so they will look at the other ones, sending them onto the Ombudsman if they are rejected, it’s best to check with PaydayUK first that you can do this. They normally agree.
The exception is if they have only asked for details about a couple of loans and rejected a lot more. If you wouldn’t be happy with a refund on just the ones they have asked about you may as well send the case to the Ombudsman right away.
Asking for details if you are complaining about loans that are over 6 years old
If any of the loans you had were taken out more than 6 years ago, you are normally asked:
I can see that some/all of the loans that you are complaining about are more than 6 years old. So for me to consider these loans, I need you to tell me why you didn’t complain about these loans until now.
To answer this, just say very briefly how you found out what an affordability complaint is. Also mention if you have been in a DMP.
For example you could say:
In 2011-12 when I had these loans I knew my finances were in a mess but thought it was my fault for borrowing too much. I had a DMP in 2014 but my DMP firm never mentioned that lenders should have made any checks on me. I only found out that I could complain about unaffordable lending in 2018 when I saw an article about Wonga in the papers.
But change that so it is accurate for your case. You may have seen a Facebook advert from a claims company, you could have had an email from the Wagedey Advance administrators, a friend told you about irresponsible lending complaints, or you could have found Debt Camel while looking for information about credit records.
Only reply about some of your loans
If you had loans from Payday Express and you notice some of the older loans aren’t referred to in Payday Express’s response to your complaint, tell PDE this. They may have been on an old system under a different account number – PDE will then look at your complaint again, taking all the loans into account.
At the Ombudsman level
Having taken 12-16 weeks to reply to many complaints, they are also slow at the Ombudsman level.
One reader reported:
I sent my complaint with Money shop to FOS in April this year and they are still waiting at the end of June for TMS to send through their business file despite them being sent a reminder.
Many people have reported their adjudicator having to give two or three two week extensions. They do accept a lot of adjudicator decisions though they also reject some good cases.
My notes show many people getting refunds of a thousand pounds or more from their complaints. One reader received over £9,000 after going to the Ombudsman. So this may take some time, but it can be well worth it in the end!
Loans over 6 years old
In 2017, Payday UK, Payday Express and the Money Shop started paying out on affordability complaints about loans over 6 years old. They were the first of the big lenders to agree to do this after the Ombudsman said they could look at the older loans in late 2016.
These older cases still take longer than complaints about loans under six years, but they are going through. And the 8% added interest can be very large for these older loans.
In late 2018 and 2019, they seem to have retreated from this position and now frequently won’t make an offer on older loans.
For example if you later had a DMP, PDUK is trying to argue that this means you should have made an affordability complaint then. It’s not a very good argument from them – after all, if you knew you could make an affordability complaint in 2014 (say) when your DMP started, why didn’t you do that then? So these cases are having to go to the Ombudsman.

Finally got through. Same advice – waiting for CEO/CRO confirmation which they didn’t get on Friday. Hopefully payments made today. No reason could be given for not getting it on Friday – as it’s been said already the front line are pretty much in the dark. I said we can’t keep phoning for 30 mins at a time and she apologised and said hopefully it is today and to call if it’s not
Claire says
thanks Jim fingers crossed
Elle williams says
Got through after 33 minutes. Been told the same as jim but once again they can’t be definite as there has been no confirmation that payments will be made. If they are she said it will be from 2pm onwards.
KR says
I’ll try again at lunch and see if they have a further update, fingers crossed
Ann Brown says
Hi has anyone spoke to their adjudicator about this? My payment isn’t due until the 19th but just thinking maybe your adjudicators can get a definite answer for you rather than having to call and be on hold almost an hour. Might put your minds at rest
Vicky says
Ann, when did you submit your claim to FOS and when was it picked up? I submitted mine in December, still waiting for the adjudicator to pick it up. Just wanted to find out where I am in the queue. Thanks.
Ann Brown says
Hi Vicky my complaint sent to the FOS November last year after eight weeks with no reply from TMS hope this helps
Claire says
Hi
I’ve just had this email from my adjudicator at the FOS
Thank you for your email. I’m sorry to hear that you have not yet received the payment following the business confirming that the funds will be with you on 12 July 2019.
I have contacted the business and they explained that every payment due to be released on 12 July 2019 was not due to an internal error – they are working on this and said that the funds should be with you as soon as possible. Unfortunately that has happened with everyone who was due a payment on that date, but they are working to get it resolved with the department responsible for settlement payments.
If you do not receive the funds by the end of this week, please let me know and I will chase the business on your behalf.
AJ says
I called today as payment supposed to be in Friday they said they hadn’t been signed off on Friday and to keep checking my bank today as it should be done in next few hours .
Ann Brown says
Hi I spoke to the FCA who advised that the company are still trading and there is no further update so if customers are not receiving agreed refunds to contact the FOS
LUKE says
Hello,
I’m trying to contact Payday Express for an update on when I’ll receive my third Final Response. It seems that all numbers for ICL are down or no longer recognised. As it’s saying I’m dialling an incorrect number. For all numbers related to ICL/The Money Shop/PDUK/Express.
Could be that this is the end of the line of these companies now. Wondering if anyone else is finding the same or had confirmation that they’ve officially gone under?
John says
Hi, I’ve just been given a new number from a helpful staff member on the 0800 number as numbers have been changed due to volume of call. I got through straight away customer services 0113 3206512
Jamie Lock says
Just got through told me my offer was signed off there end and added to the payment list for the 19th advised it maybe Monday/Tuesday due to the last 2 weeks and told to ring back up Friday to see if the ceo has signed it off.
Amanda says
Just got off the phone to them , said to check my account after 2 today and if nothing should defo be in the next 2 days.
Claire says
Hi
I’ve just got off the phone to the them, the man spoke that fast he didn’t pause for breath. He said if payment isn’t made today to ring back tomorrow. Said it could be an IT issue but couldn’t be sure, which is what they told my adjudicator at FOS this morning
Claire says
I spoke to someone around 1.30 he said he wasn’t sure if it was an IT problem which is what they told my adjudicator at the FOS. He said if payment wasn’t received today to call back in the morning
Amanda says
Nothing in my account yet :-(
Claire says
Nothing in mine, this is becoming a nightmare! It’s stressing me out at work
Andy says
It’s starting to boil my blood this. On hold 25 minutes here, nowt in account. I feel sorry for the staff, they must be getting it rough the last 2 weeks.
Claire says
I know I think the staff are just making excuses as they don’t know what to say. I can’t keep being on that long while I’m at work I’ve just put the phone down after 30 minutes
Amanda says
Never known anything like this. How hard it is it to pay people!! Had a feeling it was not happening today.
Andy says
Just got someone on the phone. They told me they’ve got an email back from the department dealing with it saying they are trying to get payments sorted today and if they aren’t released then it’ll be tomorrow. The person who is supposed to have signed off is, and I quote, “busy doing other things”. Poor guy clearly being told nothing but having to deal with all the shit of the day.
Elle williams says
Just got through he said his manager is still trying to get in touch with someone but it will be resolved within a matter of hours. If not today then sometime tomorrow. Think we are just getting fobbed off now. Poor guy sounded stressed out.
AnnoyedJim says
I keep getting the same nice woman every time I get through. I asked for the name of CEO or person that is holding this up but no luck. She said they have received an email from senior colleague that it will be resolved today or tomorrow and I said we were told today or tomorrow on Friday. Anyone who gets told that this is an IT issue – that’s an attempt to fob off. Again, we shall wait and see
Claire says
Looks like it’s another waiting game then tomorrow😫 I tried asking for the name of the person and to speak to someone higher but the poor bloke that was fobbing me off wouldn’t and he was talking that fast I’m sure he just wanted me off the phone
Marie says
Help – does anyone have a working phone number! My claim is against PDUK, the number I’ve been ringing before is 0800 2802548 which doesn’t appear to work anymore. I’ve been on hold now to the 01903 768769 number for 40 minutes but last time they said they couldn’t help and needed the other number. Even the FOS don’t have any other numbers
Ann Brown says
Hi you can call 0203 901 7171 that’s their head office number in the meantime as seemingly there is an issue with their phone lines
John says
01133206512
Got through straight away
John
karen wilson says
Well I just spoke to company dealing with my claims and told me not to worry as my 28 days runs out on Friday and they said they have an arrangement they pay out on Mondays and Fridays so looks like anyone waiting hopefully Friday!! Yeah and pigs fly haha!!
Claire says
It’s so frustrating it’s just a waiting game, the person I spoke to today said there was 100 people that should have been paid on Friday. He said to ring back tomorrow if it wasn’t sorted today so looks like it’s another day of being on hold for 40 minutes at a time🙈😩😡
Ann Brown says
I just can’t understand why the FOS isn’t stepping in here. I take it the majority of complaints have been settled via an adjudicator so I don’t understand why it’s all being left to customers constantly calling, being on hold etc and getting totally stressed about it all
Surely they can contact Instant Cash Loans advise them this is unacceptable and to prioritize people getting their redresses as agreed
Allan says
https://news.sky.com/story/money-shop-owner-seeks-creditor-backing-for-18m-payout-pot-11763835
Looks like it’s all over and were going to get a few pence in the pound
Claire says
It says a spokesman for the company has denied the claims. Clearly after our experiences today how can they deny it. Let’s see if we get an answer tomorrow a truthful one at least!!
Steve says
I don’t know how to feel right now. I feel numb. I’m mad too. I’m mad at The Money shop for giving me the loans, I’m mad at myself for not putting in my complaint sooner (submitted August 2018) but I’m also mad at the FOS for not pushing them harder. Yes, if they had done this outcome would probably have happened sooner, but I feel they’re just not being as heavy handed as they could be.
My adjudicator wrote to them in October 2018 to say they were looking into my 6+ year loans, and then only wrote back to them in May 2019 to give them their decision that all loans including 20+ rollovers should have the interest refunded.
I’m at a loss now. I have been counting on this refund and now I feel like I’m in square one again because both the FOS and TMS dragged their feet, and once again I’m the one that gets burned.
Claire says
I’m exactly the same, I’ve emailed my adjudicator at the FOS to see what will happen as we should have been paid out on the 12th. Not getting my hopes up and I’m still going to ring in the morning, this is just gutting and like you say it’s us that are suffering yet again
Ali McCartan says
Was told that I would have the money in my account between 3-5pm on Friday, but nothing paid into my account. Called on Friday at 4pm and was told that it may take until Monday as had happened the previous week. Checked bank this morning and again nothing. Phoned up and was told treasurer could not make the payments as CEO would not authorise the release of funds. Told money should be paid today or tomorrow. Seriously, if they were going to pay they would have done so by now! I reckon they are planning to enter administration and are going to fob us all off until they do. Don’t mean to be negative, but seems to coincidental that all of a sudden there is a glitch or CEO keeps forgetting to sign off release of funds! Bye bye £3000. TBH I blame the FOS for being too lenient throughout the investigation of the complaint, continuously allowing the money shop extra time because ‘they are busy’. Yeah righto, they were busy working on screwing us all over again and supported by FOS (read reviews for the FOS on trustpilot if you don’t believe me). If anyone that has posted does get a payout please let us know, I would be happy to eat my own words on this!
Ann Brown says
What a joke FOS and FCA didn’t even know anything about this well that’s that then explains everything
KR says
I wonder if they will honour what has already been approved and was due to be paid out last Friday. Feel totally gutted and could cry as I had the same thing happen to me with wageday advance due to them taking so long.
Claire says
I know the feeling, I’m so gutted surely they’re gonna have to be honest tomorrow they’re going to be expecting loads of calls tomorrow!!! I bet the lines are going to busy from 9 😫😫 I’m not optimistic about tomorrow now
KR says
It’s horrible, I feel for the staff as it’s not their fault, if management knew they should of been honest from the onset instead of leading people up a garden path and getting their hopes up, they should be banned from trading, I’m mad and upset.
Claire says
I know, I’m still going to ring in the morning as we need answers and now after this has come out they can’t come up with any more excuses. They have clearly lied to the FOS my adjudicator rang them this morning and they told her it was internal error!!
NAG says
Had your redress already been agreed with WDA or is this the exact same scenario?
This is such a massive blow to everyone.
Ann Brown says
I don’t believe they will process anything now what makes me mad dips the fact I spoke to the FCA and the FOS today
Sarah how will this affect the people who have been advised their refund had been processed?
Reen says
OH such sad news for all who are in the loop, I truly do feel for you all, Although I got my redress back in January I too almost considered going to the Ombudsman (glad I didnt now) but what they offered helped me at the time, so can understand all your frustrations with them. Looking at the article does it mean they can set up again with another name? Hope the ones reliant on their payouts get some result with other complaints. x
NAG says
Surely they will and should process all payments that have been agreed already – for example, I received an offer that agreed with adjudicator recommendation which I accepted last week. That offer was made last week when they (apparently) knew about their near demise. Surely they should honour all payments agreed already and then go from there – i.e. make a statement saying that all further redress claims will be paid at a specific rate, similar to what Wonga and WDA did.
I’m pretty cynical about what’s happened and am now doubtful I’ll get anything (was never told I was on the spreadsheet for payment etc…) but does anyone reckon there’s any chance?
Siobhan says
The FOS have a lot to answer for in this! Sitting on complaints for nearly a year and not chasing the Money Shop for decisions, so it turns out that it was quicker dealing with the Money Shop themselves for a lot of people. Now it’s too late and people have lost out on thousands of pounds through their incompetence. Disgusted!
Craig says
Oh for gods sake knew this would happen ! Was due 5k this Friday 😥. So many questions, what do we think the likelihood of them honouring pre approved claims, I’m clutching at straws here I know !
Andy says
How on earth can they get away with keeping us in the dark about this? Talks going on for weeks, no mention of it and at every call being told my repayment had been processed and would be with me on the 12th, then the 15th and now supposedly the 16th. Surely a signed, processed agreement has to be honored?
Ann Brown says
I honestly can’t believe a business can get away with this after agreeing with FOS decisions and advising people they were getting refunds on specified dates what makes it even worse is that after speaking to both the FOS and the FCA today they advised me everything was fine so did TMS head office the advisor said if I had confirmation that the business were upholding FOS decision i would receive my money all complete rubbish and there’s nothing we can do about it
Claire says
My adjudicator at the FOS actually spoke to them today and she was fed that cock and bull story, whether or not she believed it or knew different I won’t know but I’ve emailed her tonight. I’ll await the response
AJ says
This shouldnt effect anyone already on the payment list agreed payouts should be paid out maybe delayed due to this being about today but it is seeking a creditor deal going forward which looks like its not agreed yet in other words they had a pot of money and the speed the complaints are coming in means it will run out and when it does complaints still not resolved will become part of the creditor pot . It shouldnt effect the agreed ones maybe delay in payment of couple of days the same happened last Friday so keeping fingers crossed we may be lucky
Ann Brown says
Hi AJ i really hope you’re right but I don’t think that happened with the Wonga customers
AJ says
I am one of the wonga customers and I am on the creditor list as I hadn’t had a payment agreed . So not hoping for much on that one. I was following a thread somewhere for last Friday payments on the 5th and they got them the 8th and 9th in the end I’m hoping we are the same
Elle williams says
Fingers crossed it goes in tomorrow then. Hopefully they will honour the refunds that have already been agreed. 🙏🙏
Ann Brown says
Hi AJ do you think the fact we have had confirmation of our refunds that these will be honoured and the article related more to customers currently just in the process of complaining? Hopefully the business of they are taking calls tomorrow or the FOS can confirm this
Claire says
This is really sad but I’ve just tried the 01903 number and it’s still active just preparing for tomorrow but whether it’s the same in the morning is different story!
Sue says
Hi I got an email a week ago to say they will pay me on 19th if not definitely 22nd is this not worth the paper it is written on now?
Elle williams says
I’ve given up with them now. Wasted too much time trying to chase them. I think if they were going to pay us then they would have on Friday. I don’t hold out any hope I’m getting a refund now 😩
Lola says
Sadly, I think you are right.
Claire says
I have to agree with you, AJ comment did make me feel better for a moment but I’m not holding out hope after Friday and today😩I’m just gutted
Ljc says
So upset – I have one with pduk and another with TMS been with fos since June 2018 , they were picked up 2 weeks ago and now this – devastated as it was about 8k
Ali m says
No way we are getting our refund now, the report said they are writing to 2 million creditors tomorrow. What a coincidence we all got fobbed off until Tuesday!
Ann Brown says
Looking at what happened with Wonga even if the redresses had been confirmed it still ranked as an unsecured claim which is dealt with By the administrators hopefully I’m wrong
Andy says
The business isn’t in administration as far as I can gather from that article though so surely that is irrelevant. All I’m picking up from that article is that they are looking at a system of redress to deal with the growing number of complaints?
NAG says
I agree, Andy – read the article again and they haven’t actually confirmed administration yet, just looking to do it based on the number of complaints… Clutching at straws maybe but could be something?
Andy says
It says something about a vote in September, two months away being required to go ahead with their plan. There’s no way they can just do absolutely nothing for 2 months while they are still trading. I know it’s all a bit doom and gloom but making assumptions ain’t gonna help anyone’s anxiety over the matter.
Amanda says
It states nowhere they are in administration and aren’t even voting to see if it will go ahead until September.
I can’t see how this would affect approved redresses with a payment date given 🤷♀️
Claire says
I’ve done the same read it a few times. They could be writing to people who’s claims haven’t been resolved and also people who have had loans but not complained. That happened with me with Wonga and WDA I hadn’t actually put in a complaint but they contacted me as I’d had loans with them. Fingers crossed eh I’m trying to think positive 🙈🙈
Reen says
Hi Andy/Nag I tend to agree reading through the lines again as I also put another post on about them changing names as I read the bit about doing consumer loans again and I would have thought they were not allowed to go into administration and then reopen again. But I am no expert on these things, hopefully Sara can explain better which I am sure she will be looking at all comments .So hopefully for you all in the loop of waiting to be paid things will be OK. Fingers crossed for you all.
Sara (Debt Camel) says

PLEASE READ UPDATE
As I was so angry i emailed the director and the company in the US and below is the response I just got which I will hold them to, hope this gives a little peace of mind, I’m like a dog with a bone when I go on a mission.
“We hope to write to customers this week to let them know what is happening.
However, customers who have already accepted an offer will be unaffected. You will receive what we have offered.
I shall look into why the payment run did not take place, and we shall let you know what is happening”
Best wishes
Sheraz
Elle williams says
Wow this is brilliant. Thanks so much for sharing. Feel a bit better now. Love how you have emailed the director 😃
KR says
It’s called a bad day at work Elle lol and this just tipped me over the edge so for the last few hours I have been hunting down director emails. When you don’t get answers straight to the top, I’ve taken enough today so someone had to get the brunt of my mood 😉
Andy says
Fan of your work sir, well done!
Jim says
Could you maybe share his contact details? Seems like he’s the only known contact with any ability to move things along
Sara (Debt Camel) says
If everyone emails him, he will just stop responding! I know this is incredibly frustrating, but I would rather he spent today finalising this letter to customers and getting an announcement on the website that covers all various stages of complaints.
We need to know:
– what will happen to already agreed refunds
– to cases where FOS has already issued an adjudicator decision
– to cases at an earlier stage at FOS
– to complains still with the lender, is there any point in now sending these to FOS, will ICL do any more work on them?
John says
Hi,
Just got off the phone with Moneyshop. They are saying any customer with a final response offer will receive full payment. Anyone with a complaint in process (like myself) will potentially have it put on hold until the scheme of arrangement is sorted.
John
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Sorry guys, some comments this morning have been lost due to a systems glitch, now resolved.
Elle williams says
I got through straight away. They are saying money will still definitely be paid but they can’t say when. Once again check my bank at 3pm and call back if it hasn’t gone in. They are still waiting for confirmation. Beyond a joke
Amanda says
Here we go again 😫😫😫
Findlay says
Anyone managed to get through to them yet?
Elle williams says
Ye I’ve got through. The same old story check your bank at 3pm as they are still waiting for confirmation. If it’s not today definitely by end of the week 🙄🙄
Findlay says
😑 fingers and toes crossed. I’m on hold just now but don’t know if any point talking to them if they can’t offer concrete information. Such a blow to us all!
Nelson says
I got through and was told i’m on the list for a payment but it will be in the next 28 days, so nothing concrete. I asked if the pending administration will affect me receiving my payment but they told me to contact head office as they don’t know. Sorry it’s not anything positive or definitive.
Claire says
When did you accept the refund please? I am still waiting since accepting on 2 July…I’m keeping fingers and toes crossed we all get what we are due …
Nelson says
I accepted mine last week, so later than some people who’ve posted on here. I guess we all feel the same, but I can honestly say that i’m absolutely gutted.
Andy says
I still can’t get over this whole “we don’t know when you’ll be paid” thing. Imagine we all adopted that attitude. Mortgage mate? Aye I’ll pay it but just keep checking at your end after 3pm til it goes in.
Elle williams says
I don’t think we will see payment today if I’m honest with you.
Amanda says
I don’t think so either unfortunately. Andy is right though this, “we don’t know when” attitude is ludicrous!
Andy says
To think of the hounding these guys gave me as a customer on the rare occasions I was late to pay, phoning my place of work from 9am chasing it up until it was sorted. Absolute shambles and neither the FCA or FOS seem to give a damn about the customer.
ali M says
I feel so stupid, I was counting on this money! Now I will have to go and take out a payday loan to make ends meet!
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Look at all other options before you get back into that cycle – why do you need this money so urgently? Do you have other loan payments to make?
Ali M says
Sorry Sara, I was being sarcastic! They would love us all to beg them again for more money. Not me, I’ve learned my lesson like most others, the hard way!
Sara (Debt Camel) says
phew!
Nelson says
Please don’t do that. As someone who has been in a similar position to you please don’t get back into that cycle as I know where it goes and i’m sure other people on here will advise the same thing.
Take the good advice others have put on here and speak to your creditors or use Stepchange. I realise it’s devastating news, but don’t let the knee-jerk reaction lead you back down the very path you’re trying to come back from. Try and keep your chin up :-)
Andy says
Easy enough saying that but day to day living costs money. I’m relying on getting the £2k payment I was assured I was getting last Friday to see out the month. I’m already looking at bank charges for going over my overdraft limit as my phone payment came out today.
Claire says
Yes I agree please do not go down that road.. I have said many times once I’ve cleared them there is no going back and I did , although new year I promised myself this would be different and I emailed everyone of my payday lenders which I still.owed to and explained my situation. . They capped interest and I have much lesser monthly payments . Ferratum have since cleared my debt and give me some mere compensation for irresponsible lending but I was happy to just have the debt clear. Since January this year I have been paying them off and by the end of this year I will beable to start next year afresh. I know it’s so hard to stay out of that cycle but speaking from someone who did something about it , take that first step and reach out . Please x
Iulian says
After waiting an hour for someone to pick up my call I have been told that they don’t know the reason why the payments didn’t go through and apparently one of the managers that was supposed to deal with the payments ‘was busy doing something else’.
We are all waiting to receive a fraction of the money that we paid to them in interest over years and… I am just speechless!
Now I am on the line on the 08002802548 number that I have been given to chase up a 2nd payment that was supposed to be on their spreadsheet ready to be paid into my account.
The way they treat the customers is just ridiculous and I can’t believe nobody is doing anything about it!
Claire says
After ringing the 0800 number and gerting told any refunds that have been sorted will get paid despite social media news and then getting passed to the 01903 number she said just to double check for my peace of mind 🙄over 1 hour on hold I have got told I was due the payment Friday just gone as everything has been signed off there was a problem on payments not going through on Friday gone and there management is speaking to senior management and they are hoping today by 3pm as has happened previously 🙄 if not today then later in the week 🤔🤞 fingers crossed everyone
Hopefuljim says
I don’t know if this is another promise but I was on hold for 45 minutes and was told that they have received confirmation within the last few minutes and all scheduled payments for Friday will now be released today. Fingers crossed all
Claire says
Hopefully this is true 🤞
Findlay says
Do you mean the payments that were scheduled for last week? Or this week?
Elle williams says
Thanks Jim fingers crossed I guess 😃
Claire says
Thanks Jim, fingers crossed. I really appreciate everyone keeping us updated I’m struggling to ring being in work, I can’t stay on hold for all that time. Let’s hope it’s a better day
Ann Brown says
Hi all had anyones adjudicator contacted the business? Surely they should be able to get some answers i just find the whole thing ridiculous ICL obviously have had weeks to prepare for this, it’s not just happened yesterday so surely before any news article was published they should have issued out a statement to their staff to advise customers exactly what is happening when they call. The business has fobbed customers and our FOS adjudicators with excuses about IT issues, the one person in the whole company who suddenly has issues on a Friday and has to leave the office so can’t sign off refunds, c’mon this company which is regulated just seem to practise whichever way they feel.
Vicky says
There are so many messages on here lol
I don’t see a point in speculating now, people who expected refunds last Friday just wait until 3pm like usual. Others (like myself) wait until the news about future possible refunds.
We all want these refunds, for some of us these money could be a deposit for a property, for some clearing out credit cards, for others a nice holiday. But the best practice is to treat this refund as a bonus. It is lucky we can claim these money back now. We didn’t know we could when we were taking these payday loans in a first place ;)
Let’s just all patiently wait and see. None of it is under our control.
billybob says
“We all want these refunds, for some of us these money could be a deposit for a property, for some clearing out credit cards, for others a nice holiday. But the best practice is to treat this refund as a bonus”
For some of us, it is about clearing out our debt.
Of course I take a level of responsibility for taking these loans out – but the companies should NOT have loaned the money to be, they took advantage of my circumstances and took thousands of pounds from my account.
If they were a responsible lender, they would have not received the money I sent them in rollovers, interests, defaults etc…
People are angry because they DESERVE this money back as these companies acted like loan sharks.
It isn’t fair they can just go bust without paying back what people rightly deserve.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Well I agree. Especially as these have been authorised lenders. If a PPI provider went bust, a customer could get a refund from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, but that does not apply to loans, only insurance. You could tell your MP how you feel about first of all being given unaffordable loans in contravention of the regulator’s standards and now not getting full compensation as the FSCS does not apply.
John says
Just got off the phone. The information theyhave is anybody with a final response offer will get payment. All other complaints lodged will be put on hold to be dealt with in the scheme of Arrangement. A process that they think will be concluded by the end of 2020.
John
Elle williams says
Thanks for that John.
Joe says
Hi Vicky I’m sure what you’re saying is with the best of intentions.
For many this payment will be digging them out of a hole, not paying for a luxury holiday – but it’s great if you’re in that position. For many others, myself included, this is helping to clear a mountain of debt some of which was caused by irresponsible lending.
For absolutely everyone this is about JUSTICE. I’d put a winky face on the end of this statement, but I’d be concerned that some may see that as condescending.
Bill says
Totally agree Vicky, some comments on here you would think some people had lost all their life savings, it is a bonus if we get paid out! Am in same position waiting on payments or adjicators to get a move on!
Ljc says
I think people are upset (myself included) because TMS ,PDUK etc have faffed about for months to-ing and fro-ing from the FOS , ignoring deadlines , basically doing what they want . Mine have been with FOS since June 2018 , picked up 2 weeks ago by an adjudicator and now this , to me there’s never been any time logic in the way the FOS has dealt with the complaints as I’ve seen people get their cases that they’ve submitted 3 months ago (along with the 6+ year rule – the same as mine ) picked up , upheld and paid out . Don’t get me wrong I’m very pleased for others just upset about mine
Bill says
I have only just had 3 adjudicators take up my payday express, uk and money shop, surely there can’t be many outstanding complaints to deal with surely?
Vicky says
John, my intentions were good. This refund (which I will probably never see or end of 2020 if lucky) would have gone to clear a half of my credit cards.
Congrats to everyone whose refunds were agreed!
Lee says
I received a letter of offer a few weeks back that was a very small proportion of my loans, I replied asking for other loans to be considered but have not heard anything at all back!
As I haven’t accepted my final offer am I considered to be one of those that will be paid because I have received a final offer?
Ali McCartan says
Cheers Vicky, I have no doubt your comments were meant as a positive message to the thread, but am also aware that most of the people on here have been through a lengthy battle, both with the payday loan companies and Financial ombudsman to get to this point.
For me and many others this process has consumed most of our free time over the last year, and to get to a promise of being paid back some of the Redress (not bonus) and at the last minute not knowing where we stand is beyond frustrating, for some devastating.
Ali McCartan says
There are a lot of people that are a far way from recovering financially and emotionally from the devastation these companies caused them. The wounds are still fresh, and this latest news is just putting salt on the wounds.
These companies threatened people with charges upon charges for being one day late with payments. They contacted your place of work and spoke to people about your loans (debts) if they could not reach you on the first attempt on the phone number you provided, clearly to embarrass you into making payments. They did not care whether you could afford to make the repayments, or whether sudden changes affected your ability to make a payment, advising you to borrow off family and friends to make the payment and offered no alternative arrangements if struggling to pay.
For me, this is not a bonus, it is compensation, not only for the extortionate interest and charges I paid but also for the effects using these companies caused in my family life and upon my mental health.
Vicky says
Well, trust me, I had it extremely tough as well! I am also grateful to pay day loan companies, these were the only organisations who were letting me money at that time. Without these loans I couldn’t put petrol in my car and get to work. Awful times looking back. Now I have moved on to high interest credit cards. A progress for me.
Enjoy your compensation, spend it well. Genuinely pleased for everyone. My claim is just about to be picked up by adjudicator. Complained September 2018. If lucky might get something by the end of 2020, but I am not counting. How fair is that?
Nelson says
Agreed, Ali – this is compensation. How people decide to use this compensation is up them based on their current and individual circumstances, however, for me it is a genuine opportunity to get myself back on my feet financially.
The FOS have agreed that my claim as been upheld and PDUK have agreed also. The fact now is that the administration news could mean we don’t get this redress or have to wait for an indefinite period to potentially only receive pence in the pound.
Those that have made complaints have carried out a huge amount of research, tailored responses carefully, waited 8-weeks for the creditor to reject and then waited months and years for the FOS to then manage it.
These companies exploited people, lent money unfairly, and in the cases where decisions have been upheld to this effect, have now been asked to recompense those people because they have breached CONC and lending regulations.
I think for all these people they should be getting what they are fully entitled to and now it appears only some will.
Ljc says
Totally Agree with you
Robin says
Hi everyone
I have just been on the phone to The Money Shop on 01903 768769 who confirmed that they have received my acceptance form from the FOS and I was on the system as of Thursday last week. I then rang ICL on 0113 3206512 and after a short chat with the operator he informed me that I would be fine as they received my acceptance details before the news of the scheme of arrangement and it will be paid out. Basically he said that anyone who has replied to the acceptance offer before today will have their redress honoured. I hope this is true and I will be regularly contacting The Money Shop until I receive funds. Is there anyone in the same position as me, who have sent in their acceptance forms last week or yesterday? What have you guys found out? All the best everyone and I hope we all get a good resolution.
Mark O says
Hi Robin,
I sent out my acceptance on the 9th of July … I spoke to a guy yesterday on the 0113 number and he said there is nothing more I need to do and they have the acceptance and the funds will be paid with 28 days. I didn’t mention about the arrangement as first saw about it this morning. So was going to ring back and confirm but not sure if there is any point really? Does sound from your discussion that it should get paid.
Such a horrible anxiety filled week thus far … Hopefully this will all come to a good resolution for everyone.
Robin says
Absolutely. I really hope they stick to their word, as you say it’s been a really anxious time for everyone as there’s been no real clarity about anything. Good luck to yourself and everyone else
NJG says
I just phoned and was told similar to above. Anyone who has an accepted offer ie frl received and returned prior to today would have payment honoured. If you had accepted offer but had undecided or undetermined loans that you were submitting statements for the latter would go into the new system so you will receive an email about. He was adamant all previously agreed payments would be honoured albeit they may slip over the 28 days with last fridays not being made and to be caught up on. All crossed that’s how it pans out for those with agreed payments and huge sympathies for those not yet at that stage
Neil says
This us a real kick in the teeth to all of us still waiting to hear if our claims will ever be accepted. I had lined with 9 different payday lenders and have only ever been reimbursed from one lender, all others pulled the plug and I’ve one outstanding, the biggest one with PaydayUK which now looking like gonna get screwed by them too, FCA, FOC are a joke, these crooks get away every time, I lost a job with the hounding they gave me for missed payments.
Andy says
Well this is hugely frustrating, as I’m sure it is for many people.
I logged a complaint with Payday UK last October, was given the usual runaround before eventually getting a final response over 2 months later which found some of my loans had been issued responsibly and requesting bank statements for the others.
The loans were from years before and were issued to a bank account I had since closed, and Halifax insisted that they were unable to find my account. Out of desperation more than anything I submitted the case to FOS in the hope that they might be able to help in the absence of the statements.
Some weeks later I had what I can only describe as an epiphany, and miraculously remembered the account number for my old bank account. Once I gave this to Halifax they were able to find the old account and provided me with the statements PDUK were after.
I called PDUK to let them know that I now had the information they needed, only to be told that they were taking no further action on the case as it had gone to FOS.
I was eventually contacted by a FOS adjudicator last week, who apologised for the delay and let me know that the delay was due to PDUK arguing with the FOS jurisdiction team about whether they should pay out on loans that were over six years old. I was told that this had now been resolved and that she could now look into my complaint.
And now this…
Tan says
I spoke to probably one of the more friendliest advisors in about 10 weeks at PDUK. I advised him I had a final offer from payday UK and a decision was pending from money shop. I advised that for the money shop complained I had waited eight weeks and then I was asked why I didn’t complain sooner. I advised that I didn’t realise I could and provided my reasoning. This reasoning was used to make a decision around my final offer on PDUK offer but not for MoneyShop. They took their time.
He advised me any final offer which has been made will be upheld and it will take up to 28 days for the payment to be made and anything that hasn’t come even close to paying out will enter the scheme of arrangement so basically I’ve got fobbed off by the money shop, as I was probably close to getting paid out as it’s been more 10 weeks.
But I am grateful I am getting something. I am
Sorry to those who didn’t. This is the stuff we should be writing to our MPs about. The devastation that has cost and caused to people.
emma says
After waiting a year my complaints were upheld by the adjudicator on friday so I’ve just phoned him and he as told me the complaints will now have to be put on hold due to the announcement yesterday I’m gutted was so close
Andy says
I’ve just been told the same by FOS. They’re waiting to see what the business are doing next before they progress any more complaints.
Jim says
I was told it was signed off, didn’t say a time. People last Monday got paid around 2:30..I can no longer phone, ran out of an entire months minutes on hold 🤬
Amanda says
Well nothing in my account yet 😭 How hard is it to send some payments out 😡😡😡
Claire says
I think it was Jim that said when he got through they had received confirmation they would be processed today ✌️
Amanda says
Hope so Claire 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Claire says
Just rang again they said by end of the working day today for payments that where due on Friday just gone and to just keep checking my account 🙄
Elle williams says
I’ve just got through and they said everything has been confirmed and approved but they are still waiting for the treasury to release the funds and it might be today but might not be 😩😩😩😩. Sick of it now
Ali McCartan says
Exactly what they said to me on Friday 5th, and again on Friday 12th.
These idiots are just wasting our time. Why can’t they just be honest and say we are not going to get it! It would be less painful than sitting there checking our accounts every other minute. I can’t focus on my work chasing this nonsense up every ten minutes. This is cruel!
Amanda says
Its appalling. What has the treasury got to do exactly , prob just press a button!
Andy says
Wonder if any news outlets might be interested to find out how this shower are treating people they’re supposed to be compensating. Feel like I’m sitting with a begging bowl here ffs.
Ann Brown says
Hi Andy it certainly doesn’t look good for a company hoping to enter a scheme of arrangement and looking to seek support from their creditors in doing so as nobody will have faith in any type of payout from them so won’t care if they go into liquidation eventually which Instant Cash Loans will not want. The news reports are making out its our complaints that have led to this but don’t see the other side e.g. The way we are being treated.
Andy says
Would love to be able to charge their daily interest rate from the date of acceptance to the date of payment, be a tidy sum on top of £2k plus I’m certain it’d make em get the finger out! I’m proper stressed out with this whole business now.
Robert Wiliams says
I had a payday express loan
Which was sold to a debt company who took me to court and got a CCJ against me
Can I still claim against payday express
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Yes you can – but it is not clear how a complaint like this will be handled.
John J says
Hi all
This is bad news for those waiting compensation from ICL, those who have their claims already agreed will probably receive their money, expect payments and general response to complaints to be very slow since they now have no incentive to deal with complaints efficiently as they await finalisation of the said Scheme .ICL is effectively entering administration in all but name and this arrangement will favour the company more than the customers who will be left severely out of pocket whilst the company may be allowed to continue trading. ICL was one of the biggest lenders and £18 million will not be enough to cover potential claims from thousands of customers who will be looking to submit a valid claim . They made a loss of £87 million in the last financial year and I assume a large chunk of it was to do with compensation claims and how on earth will £18 million be enough ??The greater the numbers of claims the lesser the payouts and if you do the maths ; they will be contacting up to 2 million customers to see if they will submit a claim and I suppose quite a large number will respond. This means ultimately those owed will receive a fraction of what they will be due which is very sad. The current average payout per claim for ICL is in the £ 0000’s. QQ will be next to follow suit once the 6+ years cases get fully resolved and the wight of potential compensation payouts starts to hit hard on its balance sheet.

My funds have just got in my account, good luck everyone, don’t give up fighting keep at them.

I have received my payment just this minute so fingers crossed for everyone!!!

thats two down, one to go. money shop redress is 5616.71 thats still to come but two out of three yippee!!
Payday UK 9 loans, 1 responsible lend, 4 unable to determine and not worked prior to announcement so guess gone, 4 upheld received 6257.29
Payday Ex 6 loans, 1 responsible lend , 1 unable to determine and not worked prior to announcement so guess gone, 4 upheld received 1825.16
TMS 11 loans, 3 unable to determine and not worked prior to announcement so guess gone, 8 upheld waiting on 5616.71
Have no idea of the amounts involved in the unable to determine loans, never received a schedule, and although statements sent three weeks ago havent heard anything back so presume they are now going to be lumped in the to be looked at pile. But my question – if their own complaints team couldnt determine, how will this new scheme going forward work this out?
Ali mccartan says
NJG
I had a fraction of the loans you did and suffered mentally. I hope you get back as much as you can and move on with your life!
Best wishes to all of you! And big thank to Sara for this site!
Elle williams says
Wow NJG I hope you get everything back or close to it. It’s horrendous how it’s destroyed people all these loans. I’m lucky I was waiting on 2k but it will go towards savings and a little deposit for a house and it is just an extra bonus for me kind of thing but I know for some people it means an awful lot. I couldn’t imagine the stress you was under. Fingers crossed for the next repayment for you
Sara (Debt Camel) says
“if their own complaints team couldnt determine, how will this new scheme going forward work this out?” based on what the Wonga and Wageday Advance administrators have done, they will just develop a program that looks at people’s borrowing and has rules about when a loan is decided to be unaffordable.
Elle williams says
So pleased for everyone. Think that call centre will be pleased too 🤣🤣. Hope everyone waiting on refunds gets sorted.
S says
I’m in a state of shock after what I’ve read today but I’ve just received my payment from TMS. It came through just after 5pm. Fingers crossed for EVERYONE.
Bill says
I can’t believe the comments people have put on here the last few months about payment not paid in the day they expected from the money shop’ they have been accused of lying, fobbing people off, to me the staff have been honest and professional over the phone ( don’t shoot the messenger) in my view it’s been the financial ombudsman! Picking up claims less than 6 years old- cherry picking) and me and sure plenty others who have claims over ten years old are probably still in the ( to do list) yes I have claims with the money shop, express and payday uk! They just this week been allocated to an adjicator!
Good luck and cheers to the people who finally collected their funds today, as it looks like another 12 months for the people at the back of the que!
Amanda says
All my loans where over 10 years old . They where not upheld at first but then after giving reason why I was complaining over the 6 years. They upheld all of them. I never had to take to to the ombudsman.
Sue says
I got an email 2 weeks ago that my money will be in 19th or 22nd so worried it’s not going to happen – so pleased for all those that got their money today – you have given me a glimmer of hope!
Ann Brown says
So happy for all the guys getting your payments through hopefully mines will hit my account Friday as promised or a few days later and the guys that are still waiting for their complaints to be picked up hopefully get a good result too
NJG says
I hope that every one gets every penny that they are owed. Like most on here I am at fault for getting myself in the mess but I view these companies as money grabbing sharks, when I look at what I paid, the stress, pain and angst it caused I could cry.
So far I have received £9868, and am “owed” £5615.71, £3200, £980 and as yet undertermined amounts from Quick Quid, H & T, Albemarle and Bond, Cash Brokers, Cash Generator, Wonga, WDA, EPDL and Speedy Cash. There are around ten lenders that are now bust/disappeared that I cant claim with. By my best guestimate I paid over £40k in loans/interest. How the hell I did this I will never know but for 5 years all my life was getting one loan to pay another to pay another to get another loan to pay another etc. I am ashamed of what I did but also ashamed that people made so much money of my misery and misfortune. And I wish every success for anyone that got trapped like I did. Heres hoping that one day this will all be a distant memory not a living hell. So I totally get peeps stressing when the money doesnt arrive when were told it will, this is rightfully my blood, sweat and tears being paid to me and by God I’ll keep fighting to get it!
NAG says
Really great news and congratulations to all that received payments today – a massive weight off for sure.
For the rest of us – keep calling and keep patient. I agreed with the offer I had through the FOS last week (11th) and having spoke to two people today – I’ve been assured that if you agreed a settlement then it should still be processed. I haven’t been given a date as just been told ’28 days from the 11th’ and that ‘some people have waited a few days longer than 28 days’. I’ve not been added to the payments list yet by the look of it.
I appreciate and understand some comments that ‘it was a bonus’ and that we shouldn’t have counted on the redress payments but… I absolutely should not have been lent so much money. Had I not been, I have no doubt that I would have managed anyway, sorted my life out and be in a significantly better financial position than I am today. These loans caused me harm because yes, they offered something in my time of need for which I was grateful but I squandered the money and didn’t understand the future implications of not being able to pay and then, the PD loan cycle took hold. They didn’t check and took my word for it that I could afford it.
Bonus or not, we are all allowed to be passionate about the possibility of a payment. Stay positive and keep talking on here. Don’t take short term loans because whatever they are labelled as, they are harmful.
Billybob says
So happy for everyone!
I’m still waiting, 3rd July I agreed the amount, told within 28 days.
Fingers crossed it arrives!
Amanda says
I accepted mine on the 1st of July and have just received payment today . Hopefully yours should be in this Fridays batch 👍
billybob says
Oh, wow ok, so you went direct with the complaint too?
Did you do anything else? Like chasing them up every day or anything? Just wondering what I should be doing… Thanks!
Amanda says
Yes I also used Resolver and it was upheld without having to refer to the ombudsman.
No I didn’t chase them up every day. I rang twice I think , the first call was to see if they had received my offer form, and the second time was to see if it had been processed and on that occasion they informed me of my payment date.
You could just give them a call today and they should be able to tell you if it has been signed off for this week.
Richard C says
i actually think its in really poor taste for people here to comment in bundles saying they’ve just received payments of thousands of pounds and just snuck in before they go bust or into administration, when the rest of us have been slogging away at ICL or the FOS to try and move things on and get some redress.
“well done” to the ones that got paid just before the announcement.
i’ve submitted my complaint 3 different times now since December 2018 and been messed around by ICL and every time had to wait the full 8 weeks for a mickey mouse final response.
it’s even been delayed by the FOS who fast-tracked it because the “jurisdictions” team had to write to ICL justifying why loans +6 yrs could be considered, giving them a further 2 weeks to contest or accept, in which time this news comes out.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I think everyone needs to be a little tolerant of how other people in different, but still stressful, situations have been feeling.
Vicky says
I agree with you Richard. I was painful to read that people are angry for getting their ££££ on Tuesday instead of Friday etc when the rest of us are probably never get to see this money at all.
Andy says
To be fair (and speaking as someone who hasn’t had an offer and so will end up waiting for this Scheme of Arrangement to be sorted), I think a significant number of people who were getting frustrated about their money not being paid on Friday had already been told a few Fridays in a row to expect their money and been disappointed.
It’s an unfortunate situation but with anything like this there will always be people who luck in and others who luck out. I think those who have been posting about payments are just (understandably) relieved to have received anything after weeks of uncertainty.
Jamie Lock says
My offer has been processed and is due out for payment Friday will I still get this?
Amanda says
Yes you will. Anyone who has accepted an offer before yesterday will still receive what they have offered. It might not go in on Friday as they have been delayed last couple of weeks.
Jamie Lock says
Not holding any hope that it’ll be paid on Friday as the lady I spoke to yesterday didn’t sound confident of it being signed off and paid couldn’t give any reason to why they hadn’t been paid on time. She has however assured me it’ll be paid before 24th which is exactly 28 days.
To be honest as long as the money is paid I don’t have an issue waiting, just feel for the many of people that won’t get anything.
Jamie Lock says
To be honest I’m not holding out any hope it being paid Friday the lady on the phone didn’t sound confident and couldn’t give any reason to why the last two lots have been delayed. She did however say it would be in my account before the 24th which is exactly 28days so fingers crossed.
Seems strange how people that accepted the offer before most on here have been paid before 🤷♂️ As long as we all get paid I guess, feel for the people that may end up with nothing.
Amanda says
You might get lucky for Friday and if not it should be early next week. I got mine yesterday so they do pay out on other days also.
Ann Brown says
Hi Jamie I’m in The same situation as you. I called and most likely spoke to the same advisor as you and she wasn’t too sure when payment will be released. Hopefully we will both receive sooner rather than later.
Bill says
It appears looking at the comments regarding the money shop is by going through resolver you can jump the que rather than the the labourous 12 months plus waiting for the fos to make their minds up, also these so called these claim company’s should be thrown at the back of the que or even better thrown out all together as it seems they have clogged up the complaints to a point they have wrecked everything for the genuine people who have patiently waiting for an outcome!
Sara (Debt Camel) says
No you can’t. Some complaints move faster than others. Going through Resolver doesn’t speed things up (indeed for some lenders it actually slows them down as the lender throws a hissy fit because they don’t recognise the resolver email address).
