Payments – UPDATE – 25 April 2022
Administrators have started sending emails to everyone with an upheld claim telling them what they will be paid.
“The Joint Administrators are now in a position to declare a first and final dividend of 53.5p in the £”
The average claim value is c £1,700. Someone with that claim value will get a payout of about £910.
The payout details are given in the email:
- This will be paid over the next two weeks.
- If the administrators couldn’t validate your banking details, it will be sent by cheque. I don’t know how the administrators will “validate” your details.
- If you used a claims company, the money will be paid to them.
- Most people are not having any deduction for tax paid to HMRC, so there is no need to reclaim anything.
Credit records
The administrators may decide to :
– remove any negative marks on your credit record
– delete all loans that were upheld
– delete all your loans.
I don’t know what they have chosen to do – if people can check and report in the comments when they see a change, that would be great.
How much your credit score will change will depend on whether there were any negative marks. If you want to get a mortgage, you would like as many payday loans gone as possible, even if they were repaid on time and not hurting your credit score.
In a few months when the administrators no longer talk to the CRAs you can ask for any remaining loans to be “suppressed” so other lenders can’t see them. See https://debtcamel.co.uk/correct-credit-records-lender-administration/ but it is too soon to do that now.
QuickQuid went into administration in October 2019
CashEuroNet (CEU), which owns the QuickQuid, Pounds To Pocket and On Stride brands, stopped giving loans and went into administration on 25 October 2019.
I will be talking about QuickQuid (QQ) rather than CashEuroNet as it is the more familiar name. Everything here also applies to loans from Cashruronet’s other brands, Pounds To Pocket and On Stride.
Grant Thornton were appointed as Administrators. They set up a page about Redress Complaints – this is their term for people who have asked for a refund because they were given unaffordable loans.
Background to the QuickQuid Administration
QuickQuid was one of the “Big Three” payday lenders in Britain, starting out in 2007.
After Wonga and the Money Shop Group had all stopped lending and gone bust over the last fifteen months, QuickQuid was left as the largest UK payday lender.
QuickQuid had well over a million customers. When it went into administration there were c. 500,000 customers with outstanding loans.
Many of these customers had prolonged borrowing from QQ. They either rolling loans over or repaid one loan but were left so short of money that they had to borrow again.
These customers have good reasons to win an affordability complaint and get a refund of the interest they paid.
Affordability complaints started on a small scale in 2015 and increased in the next few years.
In 2018, complaints going to the Financial Ombudsman (FOS) jumped with the involvement of Claims Companies and QuickQuid became the most complained about firm to FOS, excluding PPI complaints.
For a long time QQ refused to refund interest on any loans taken more than 6 years before or where the loans were given in 2015 or afterwards. This resulted in a huge backlog of claims at the Financial Ombudsman, where QQ had made very poor offers to customers and then rejected an adjudicator decision.
In late July 2019, QQ agreed to accept several thousand FOS complaints it had previously rejected.
By accepting the FOS decisions on loans over 6 years, long chains of borrowing, and loans taken after 2015, the scale of QQ’s likely future liability for refunds will have become clear to the company.
After failing to persuade the FCA that a Scheme of Arrangement was appropriate, Enova, CEU’s large and profitable US parent, decided to close the UK business, blaming the UK regulatory environment.
How could the regulators let this happen?
This is an excellent question… Stella Creasy, MP called for an inquiry into the FCA over Wonga and QuickQuid.
I have looked at the question here: More payday lenders go under in 2019 – was anything learned from Wonga?
What has happened in the administration
Customers with a valid claim for a refund are “unsecured creditors”. This includes:
- any refunds that were in progress after an amount was agreed or a Final Decision from a FOS Ombudsman (FOS);
- complaints that were underway at QQ or FOS when QQ went under;
- any new complaints sent to the Administrators.
All complaints at FOS legally had to stop and were been passed back to the Administrators. It isn’t possible to send any new complaints to FOS.
It is now too late to submit a Claim for unaffordable lending. The last date was 14 February 2021.
The administrators have given the following statistics about claims:
- 169,000 customers made claims for unaffordable lending;
- 78,000 claims were upheld by the administrators;
- the upheld claims had a total value of £136million, so an average of about £1,700 per claim.
Still owe a balance on a QuickQuid or On Stride loan?
More than 300,000 of the current loans were sold to Lantern in summer 2021. You should have been informed if your loan was sold.
The administrators have now stopped collecting any money from the remaining unsold loans.

Hi,
Could anybody tell me if CashEuroNet are saying they haven’t received a claim from you, but you have an email which confirms ‘We’ve Received Your Claim’?
I have a previously upheld claim (just before they went into administration) which I was expecting to receive 53.5p in the pound for, but it appears my claim has been lost, even though I have provided them with evidence that I have an email confirming my application through their online portal and they can see the number of times I have been in contact since 2019.
I’m very confused and rather upset about this. Is anybody else in this same situation??
Thank You.
James says
Hello,
Just confirming I received my pay today. Thanks Sarah for all your help
Dan says
I was totally unaware of this. I logged into my online banking today and had a £2100 payment from Casheuro or something. I had no idea I was being paid this or had to validate any account details
mike says
I had completely forgotten about the redress payment. Logged on to my online banking this morning to discover £2090 from casheuro net had been deposited. Thanks Sara
Debby says
Lovely surprise just over 2 thousand in my bank today well worth the wait and spending money sorted for my holiday
FrankieTheSkin says
Over two and a half grand received overnight, was in my account in the very early hours, awesome start to the day! And also full closure of the matter.
Claire McB says
Hi, I am new to this page. I made a claim and received the email like everyone about receiving payment however I have changed bank and address since. I don’t remember receiving an email to validate this previously. I did call today and spoke to a very helpful woman who sent an email to me with instructions to email new bank details with validation which I have now done. Reading comments others have been told they will have a cheque sent to them in this situation. Has anyone emailed bank details to them like me and had any payment or notice of pending? Thanks in advance
Sue says
I also called today and was told that it was too late. I had an e mail from them last Friday to say my account was validated but she said that was too late. So who knows!
Lesley says
Hi Claire, I’m waiting for that email regarding return instructions. Is it simply return to their address ?
Daniel Charlton says
I phoned up yesterday and asked to change my account details, they sent me an email and asked me to send ID etc. has anyone who changed their details receive payments yet?
Tt says
No I changed mine last March and I’ve just rang and asked about the cheque and its still gone to the wrong address so I’ve had to update it again and have to wait to see if the cheque gets sent back by the people who live there
Chris vaughan says
Yes i changed my on Tuesday but have still not received my money will call them this morning is found out what’s happening
Chris vaughan says
Just spoken to them my details have not been updated yet due to the amount of requests. Not to worried as long as my address gets updated she said a email will be sent when they update them
Emma says
Hi, I had an email to say I will get payment via cheque as they cannot verify my bank, however every number I try I cannot get through, been waiting over 60+ minutes and no answer, can I ask what number you have contacted them on please?
Sue says
I confirmed my bank details again last week and was told they had been verified. Received the dividend e mail on Monday. Been with same bank and have had the same bank account for last 30 years. Just called to double check position and told I will get a cheque in due course. Absolutely gutted.
Phil says
Spoke on the phone today the cheques will be sent before the end of next week so it’s not the end of the world :)
Tt says
Lady told me they’d already been sent out …mines gone to wrong address anyway 😬 so could be a okng wait
Mick says
I would imagine they will be sent out 2nd class post too but their email Monday did say we would receive them within 2 weeks. Looking forward to it dropping through the letter box.
Sue says
Agreed, it is not the end of the world but it is very annoying when you are told one thing and then another happens.
Sasha W says
Just to provide an update on my comment yesterday regarding QQ not being able to find my claim.
I had to call again today as I had heard nothing. I had to forward over my claim accepted email from dec 2020. This has now been passed over to a manager and a decision will be made by close of play tomorrow. They will then contact me 😐
Richard says
Got through today on the phone
To be told I haven’t got any redress claim
Even though I phoned them up about a few months ago checking everything was in order !!
Had I still owed them money ?
I should have recieved an email from them telling me which I haven’t had
I had repeated loans from them
They said they will send it again
Good luck to anyone who’s recieved money back
Sasha W says
Did they ask you to send back to them your accepted claim email? I am apparently waiting on a decision even though the decision was already made when I received the accepted claim email.
Richard says
Yes I have but not recieved any thing yet
Jo says
I’m the same, they say they have no claim at all for me even though I have a confirmation email stating that my claim was submitted & that I had an upheld Redress claim that was in process of being paid to me days before they went into administration. I just appear to have been totally missed so my query has now been escalated to a manager… but I’m still waiting!
Richard says
I think il phone back tomorrow
I did receive an email at first but a very long time on stating £1500 redress but will get a lot less than that
Unfortunately I can’t find it on my emails
So il give them a ring again just to confirm
Sasha W says
Just to provide an additional update, I called again at 8 just to double check when I should be getting a decision. She said I should have a decision by close of play today (9pm). I asked how long I should leave it before I chase. She advised due to the bank holiday, I should wait until Tuesday. If I haven’t heard anything, I should ring back up on Wednesday.
Richard says
Hi
I phoned today and got through trying to find out what is going on
The lady replied I had only one unaffordable loan ???? Which I hadn’t paid off
I asked about loans from onstride also this is the unaffordable loan (pounds to pocket )
Which I still owed money the balance being 355 which will be paid off
I also asked will they be moved from my credit file
The lady replied only the unaffordable one will be removed
I also asked when will I receive an email to confirm their decision because I haven’t recieved anything
She said your last email was sent in 2021
But we don’t know when you’ll receive a new one with your decision on
Hope this helps anyone in the same position
Sara (Debt Camel) says
in a few months you will be able to get all the QQ and Onstride loans “suppressed” from your credit record, see https://debtcamel.co.uk/correct-credit-records-lender-administration/. But it is too soon to do this now.
Karen says
I haven’t had any emails about this I just had 714.00 put into my account from casheuronet, I googled to see who it was from it said quickquid I don’t even remember claiming from them. My quick quid account went to PRA. As it had a balance on it do I have to still pay that balance?
Thanks karen
Sara (Debt Camel) says
You need to ask the support team about this. The QuickQuid Customer Support team on 0800 056 1515 or support@quickquid.co.uk or the On Stride Customer Support team on 0800 210 0923 or customersupport@onstride.co.uk as applicable to your loan.
Gill Watson says
Hi does anyone bank with nationwide and received there payment yet thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes quite a few people were paid overnight
dawn wright says
Hi Gill
I bank with Nationwide and payment was in about 0100 this morning when I was checking my wages
J says
After having the same account details for years I called earlier today as claim accepted but nothing in my bank- I had several emails including latest one from Tuesday confirming bank details.
CRN are sending lists over to finance department to make payment and although on the system my account details are correct the list sent to make payment from didn’t have correct account details.
Clearly issues with admin at their end
Sue says
They never had any issues taking money out of my account!!
Katie says
I claimed through a 3rd party – had no update, called QQ myself and they’ve stated they have no claim for me but can see my history of lending. A little deflated after seeing everyone’s comments of successful claims
Sara (Debt Camel) says
do you have a record of your claim to the third party?
Katie says
The 3rd party I do yes. Going to call them back up day and see if they have a response from them. I feel I should have handled it myself directly to QQ
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes, but you are where you are now. At least you made a claim, many borrowers didn’t and are getting nothing.
Katie says
That is true. Just feel the 3rd party have been awful at handling it. Put the claim in in December 2019 and all I’ve done is chase them and now I’m chasing them again and they’re clueless. Nevermind eh! Glad so many people have had had refunds. We will all learn from this :)
D.Pipe says
Has anyone not received their payments yet?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
lots of people, look back through the comments
Lesley says
I haven’t. I’m with Halifax
J says
I haven’t. I’ve called 4 times after being told that the £ would be in my account today and that a manager wouldn’t call me back today but I also had an email from them asking me to update my bank details
Russell says
Yes I havent yet. Got an email as well on Monday. Will just have to play the waiting games as i’d imagine there are thousands of claims to be processed.
J says
Does anyone know what the @bounces.Quickquid email is? Not one I’ve seen or heard from before?
Carl says
Hi Sara,
Do you have any email contacts for people at GT?
You may remember mentioning that I got my payment email through but it was a lot lower than the email detailing my accepted claim values.
I managed to get through and spoke to Claudia who stated that the redress received was only for QuickQuid loans, when looking at my OnStride account details, she said no loans were listed. This is bizarre as they were on the initial accepted claims email and I have emails for OnStride in the past. Unfortunately I can’t locate that email we all got in November 2020 which detailed the loans with ID numbers.
I therefore need to raise this with GT as don’t have confidence in CEN to resolve it as I am potentially nearly £6k short in the redress payment.
Thank you in advance
Sara (Debt Camel) says
can you find any Onstride emails?
Carl says
Yes I have a couple for 2017 onwards but nothing with a loan ID on.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
ok that should be good enough to get them to search harder for these loans. Send the CEN an email with COMPLAINT as the subject
Mr and Mrs C says
We have called to confirm our bank details just now, and have been told that they didn’t have our bank details at all (they absolutely did as we confirmed on the portal, and again on the phone when the claim wasn’t generating an email of acceptance). We have been told now that we can not have a bank transfer and that a cheque will be posted in the next few weeks – infuriating to say the least! I would advise anyone who was in the first batch of emails (Monday afternoon) to check with them to see if they are in the same boat, you could be relentlessly checking your bank account for no reason
J says
Which number did someone call to speak to Claudia please?
Sam says
Completely forgot about this. Received no email that I can find since 2020 incase that’s relevant to anyone
Received a payment today for £840.00 out of the blue
Katie says
That’s amazing news!
Beverley says
So I rang and although they have my bank details and they are correct I am being paid by cheque. No explanation given. People who have not been paid really need to brace themselves that they may be on the cheque list now!!!!
Mr and Mrs C says
Its really annoying, they have our bank details too but we were told we are getting a cheque in the next two weeks. Then you have the chew on of driving to a bank and waiting for the cheque to clear.
Mark H says
If you have a banking app on your mobile phone you can usually bank the cheque through the app by taking a photo. I can do that with my Halifax and NatWest apps and they normally clear within a day or 2.
Clive says
Cheques now clear by the end of the next banking day after presentation
J says
I’ve been told that the bacs payments have been made.
Waiting for a manager to contact me as I have escaped it.
They have my bank details but no mention of a cheque and I had an email today asking me to provide further docs
Hayley says
I called this morning as I had two claims and one of them hasn’t been paid to me yet. They said that payments are being made in batches over the course of two weeks.
Sam says
I haven’t had an email 😐 phoned.the 08000163250
They have my wrong bank details and wouldn’t let me change them. They told me an amount but said I need to wait for an email . Anyone else had this Thanks.
Chris says
Hi
Is anybody else still waiting for payment? I got e mail about 7pm Monday evening ? Bank with the Halifax ?
Thanks
Lesley says
Hi, I bank with Halifax and not received anything yet despite receiving my email on Monday
Susan Brown says
Hi
Yes, no payment yet. Got my email at 4.12pm on Monday .
Brian says
I’m still waiting also I read earlier that if you haven’t received it now in bank you will get cheque in post not sure how true that is
J says
@ Bryan.
Not entirely true.
Best to call them.
Majority of bacs payments have been made but there might of been an issue when they tried to make the payment. You should receive an email asking you to confirm details along with providing additional info.
If left they are issuing cheques but at a later date- see FAQs in email
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Majority of bacs payments have been made
we don’t know that, there may be further batches.
Matt says
I’m still waiting for payment. Bank with Lloyds. Email with redress amount received just after 6pm.
Brian says
What time do phone lines close do you think if we haven’t received it in our banks now we’ll be getting cheques sent out
Lesley says
I think so now Brian, I’ve resigned myself to that. I bank with Halifax
Mr and Mrs C says
We called at 7.10pm last night and there were still people on the phones.
KB says
Lines open at 8 and close at 9pm.
They did advise up to 2 weeks.
I received an email on Monday, nothing in yet (Lloyds).
Just need to be patient and check with customer service if worried.
Ben Mcintosh says
I have just checked my account and have a payment from eurocasnet redres. But I have received no email so can only presume it’s for QQ loans
Sarah says
I bank with Lloyds and received my payment overnight thanks again Sara for your invaluable support I was so disappointed like many others when QQ went bust as I was just days away from receiving my redress but ironically I’ve received more back than originally offered due to interest etc so very happy good luck everyone this finally ends my journey I have received all the redresses I have applied for and just booked a family holiday and paid for everyone !!!! Felt so nice to pay it all in one go too
Jo says
For a 3 or 4 year period I was living in cycle of payday loans, bouncing from Wonga to the money shop, QQ and pounds to pockets and one or two more. I ended up defaulting on a couple of them because it was more manageable to pay £40 a month to a debt collector than hundreds to the loan company. My credit rating was shot anyway, so it didn’t really matter. I’ve clawed my way back and now have a great credit score, with my last default coming off just over a year ago. All of the companies were irresponsible lenders and I hate to think of the carnage they caused to so many. I still feel angry that they got away with it for so long and I’m really worried that so many people will be faced with similar choices due to the cost of living increases. Rant over, but thank you Sara for all of your help.
Mark says
I went through a company to claim for miss-selling of payday loans at least 5 years ago. And now this morning when I received my final highest amount of cash fom quick quid I recieve a message from the company wanting cash off me. I’ve not heard anything from them in the last 2 years. Amazing how they suddenly wake up and want my cash. Time to hand it over I guess…not happy.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
parasites. But unfortunately you signed up with them.
Mark says
I did sign up when the payday loan companies were still in business. However after about 2 years they were all going in to administration and I feel that that I’ve done all the work to get my claims. Do I really need to pay a company that seem to have done nothing? To me they have basically been sitting in the background waiting for the cash without doing anything.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes. All they did before administration was send an email you could have sent anyway.
Mark says
Thanks Sara for getting back to me. They must have been the most expensive emails in the history of human kind that they sent. I wish I had been a bit wiser to the event.
franck says
Got my letter on Monday at 12 PM, and got pays Thursday’s First batch at 00:33 Halifax. 6k
You guys are on the second batch.
Patience pays.
Chris says
Hi
Still no payment this morning got e mail Monday and bank with Halifax ? Do you think they are sending bacs payments in batches ?
Thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes they are sending payment in batches by BACS.
the time you got the email isn’t relevant to which batch you are in.
Su says
Anyone still have no payment ? 😫
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes quite a lot of people. Only the first batch has been paid.
Wendy says
Not heard anything from them since Feb 2020 which said they confirmed they received my complaint email and please consider this email as confirmation that my complaint has been acknowledged and had a customer ID number at the top of the email. My daughter received her redress payment on Wednesday
Sara (Debt Camel) says
you should have received a response to your complaint, rejection or uphold. If you didnt, then it is possible your complaint was rejected and that is why you have not received anything else.
You can contact the QuickQuid Customer Support team on 0800 056 1515 or support@quickquid.co.uk or the On Stride Customer Support team on 0800 210 0923 or customersupport@onstride.co.uk as applicable to your loan to find out what the decision was.
Wendy says
Thanks Sarah phoned them this morning, got through straight away and explained the situation, was put on hold and as my Email address had changed and my phone number, thats why I hadn’t receiced any correspondence she checked and came back after a couple of minutes with a figure and said I will be receiving a cheque
Noel mccready says
Can wnyone tell me what the tax position is. I assume we have to pay it on the interest.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I am trying to find out from the administrators – you may NOT need to pay anything.
Lenny says
It advises in the email you received. They take care of the tax, where applicable. My email said:
“Where required, the Joint Administrators have deducted withholding tax, which will be paid to HMRC on your behalf. We can confirm that £0.00 of withholding tax has been deducted from your dividend payment and will be paid to HMRC.”
Orlaith says
I spoke to someone at Resolution this morning who confirmed that payments will continue to be made over bank transfers/cheques over the next few weeks. I confirmed my bank details etc and they were correct; so I did read that all BACs payments had been sent and I’ve been informed this morning that this isn’t true. Payments are being sent in batches. The lady did advise if payments weren’t received in 2 weeks to then make contact, however they’ve had an influx of callers because of speculation that payments had all been made.
It took me 1 hour and 10 minutes to get through to them.
J says
Lady that I spoke to yesterday told me that the majority of bacs had been sent.
They had my correct bank details but had an issue with the payment as info provide by one department to another was wrong.
But I then had an email asking me to confirm bank details
Seems we are all being told different things
Jonathan says
Like a couple of other, I don’t even remember making a claim against QQ and have had no emails. £5800.00 dropped into my account this morning! Delighted!! What a great Bank Holiday surprise. Can’t beleive they paid 53.3p in the pound. Wish Wonga and others had managed to do the same.
Su says
I have been contacted by Clear Marketing who dealt with my claim, they will get the money first and then take their fee and might be 28 days before I even see my money due. Not ideal at all.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
parasites, but you signed up with them so this is legal
Trebor says
I still haven’t received payment. So I gave the QQ customer support number a call, got through straight away.
I had called months a go to update my bank details, to be told this morning that its showing my bank details couldn’t be verified so I will be receiving a cheque in the post within 2 weeks of the date on the email.
Trebor says
Update: My cheque arrived this morning. Scanned in on my banking app, says it will clear within 24 hours. But, given it’s a weekend and Bank Holiday it’ll probably be Tuesday/Wednesday.
Either way, I have it, happy days!
Mick says
On March 9th last year i received an email ‘Immediate Action Required’ which said ‘Despite our attempts to contact you, we have not been able to validate your banking information’….I emailed back and told them that i had tried to log onto their portal but it would not accept me, i also had been phoning customer services but no one was picking up. i also gave them my banking details in this email….I then received another email on 11th March from a Mr Lawence Wade (CashEuroNet) comfirming my details and he stated ‘No Further Action Was Required’
I am waiting for a cheque now as they still say they could not validate my bank details…..Seems to have been a bit of a shambles for everyone.
Curtis sanders says
Sorry to go off topic folks but has anyone had an email from myjar?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Best asked on the payday loan page as it will be seen by more people who are making claims against Myjar: https://debtcamel.co.uk/payday-loan-refunds/
Paul says
On the administrator’s website it says “If you have not received an email before 30 April 2022, you are not due redress”.
I don’t know if you have to make a claim before tomorrow or if they just contact anyone who is eligible.
Orlaith says
I’m keen to know this also as I had a loan with them too. Do you have to apply for redress?
Fred says
just a bit of general info that might be relevant if you bank with Lloyds.
I saw a message saying there is a general issue with Lloyds bank customers receving bank transfers and they are delayed.
(this is in general and not particulally realted to this scheme from Casheuronet)
Matt says
I’ve spoken to QQ this morning. Confirmed I would be having BACS payment. I’m with Lloyds. Received email confirmation Monday 6:04pm. Just a matter of waiting for more batch payments I think guys! Just have to be patient I think.
David says
Thanks for sharing, this is good to know as I’ve not yet had anything through and was beginning to wonder.
Steven says
Hi I’m with loyds got my email at 6.40 Monday money in my account Thursday morning
Mr and Mrs C says
Anyone else just mugged the postman :)
Gary says
Hi all, Just wanna say a massive thank you you to sara and everyone on here been a great help with it all. I had my payment yesterday and also with help with the safety net credit template from here I had my account cleared and a refund of interest sent my way. So one happy chap here thank you again. Have a good Bank Holiday weekend 👍
Ryan says
Hi Gary,
Well done. Can I ask how long the Safetynet claim took to settle from when you 1st complained until settlement. Many thanks Ryan
Damon says
Safety credit net was so quick for me. I claimed in March and got my payment the 28/04 the same day as quick quid went in. Sara honestly I haven’t really posted much but you have been amazing. I’ve donated to both the links you posted. Feels so good to no longer be in debit and on the back of some bad decisions we all made, get some compensation from those who took advantage.
J says
@ Damon, may I ask how you worded your complaint?
They are being really difficult with me despite my credit file that they provided a copy of showing I had fallen behind in payments
Many thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Send it to the Ombudsman now.
Ryan says
Brilliant…..Sarah has been a 🌟
Beverley says
I have calmed down now, cheque it is after all this time another few weeks isn’t going to be a problem I guess. I just hope the cheques come soon. Would be good to call time on this. I wonder if we do start getting the cheques next week. If anyone gets a cheque please post.
Ian says
Just to make you aware that I contacted QQ at the start of March to let them know my new bank account details. I’ve just spoken to them and although they told me they had done it, they failed to do so. I am now chasing my redress payment and had to send by bank details again to QQ. They will not process payment until my previous bank returns the amount to them which causes further delays. Planning ahead simply did not work. I’m just letting you all know just in case you have changed your account details prior to this week’s email and are still awaiting payment. You may just want to check with QQ. I hope none of you have been let down by someone who didn’t do what they said they would do. Have a great weekend!
Daniel says
I’ve got a cheque in the post today, going to be difficult to bank it considering I’m abroad and don’t have a British bank account anymore.
Brian says
Hello just come off phone as not received my redress yet asked if my payment will go in my bank or will it be a cheque lady checked my bank details no problem there so payment will go to my bank she said in the time frame that’s been said
J says
I too have been waiting for payment.
I have just had an email from them telling me that despite having my correct details they made an error when inputting my account number!
They are now telling me that I have to wait despite it being their error!
Chris says
Hi
I rang them this morning as really disappointed my redress not in bank ? The lady said although they have my bank details because I didn’t confirm them again after September last year I am getting a cheque ?? She couldn’t say if it had been issued or not ?? On another note put in a Lending Stream complaint on back of comments here on 18 April and just received the disclosure I asked they sent everything on file statement of accounts and any other letters, all save the one that went to 3rd party debt.
Anyway so I was shocked how many loans I had taken out 2011 to 2013 was last, 16 loans over a 24 month period!
Hopefully they will uphold some on repeat lending issue etc what I actually paid back comes to 7.5k!
I noticed that many who went LS recently got complaint sorted and redress within a week, it’s taking longer for me and now see why.
They say the regulator allows up to 8 weeks.
Thanks so much Sara for the templates and I will see what happens!
Is there any risk that LS is heading for collapse also??
Sara (Debt Camel) says
LS is the largest payday lender left. My guess is that they are now very profitable as with much less competition they can be be much more fussy about tho they lend to. They have changed their lending, so they now use open banking to verify incomes. This should mean their default rate is lower.
SO could they be in trouble? yes, any high cost lender may. But at the moment they are making pretty reasonable offer a lot of the time and paying them quickly when accepted, that doesn’t suggest big problems.
Joanna Takla says
Ty Sara I’ll wait to see what happens
Paul says

Sara (Debt Camel) says

Hi comrades, despite changing all my details with cash euro net recently, with proof of name change etc, they’ve issued it in the name I had when I took out the loans and because I now have a new name, and bank somewhere new, the bank won’t cash it. Will they reissue another in correct name ?
Lisa says
I also have this problem, not received my cheque yet but have sent the documents to prove my name change. They said to call when I’ve received my cheque in my maiden name to get another one issued. Hoping it’s not going to be a problem.
Mick says

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with contact details for either QuickQuid or the administrators portal. My claim was accepted in Aug 2021. Realising they had old bank and address details I updated these via email. I have had a problem with my email account regarding sending and receiving emails and so have had no notification of any payment, and nothing in the bank. Any help gratefully received .
Sara (Debt Camel) says

Thank you Sara, I have tried the 1515 Number but eventhough their opening hours include Saturday the message says they are closed. I’ll keep trying. Thank you for all you do.

James says
Hi all!
Has anybody used a 3rd party to make a claim on their behalf?
Well I did (stupidly) however, they failed to submit my details and said that I should do it myself, which I did. The solicitors said that they would waiver the fee and wished me luck in my case.
However yesterday I received an email saying that they will be receiving my money and taking 25% plus VAT.
Do I have a leg to stand on with them not taking the 25% plus VAT? Would the email stating that they would waiver the fee be enough.
The solicitors in question are Clear law/ clear legal marketing.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Many thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
You can complain that they had agreed to waive the fee and produce the email as proof.
That claims company is FCA regulated. If they reject your complaint, take it to the Ombudsman.
(And next time, avoid these sort of parasites!)
James says
Thanks for the reply Sara.
I’ve emailed both QQ and the law firms.
Just waiting for a reply from both now.
Thank you for your advice
Su says
I used a 3rd party but wont ever again, I’ll do it myself using the templates as they are taking 1/3 of my money too now and God knows when I’ll get it 🙄
James says
Can I ask which 3rd party you used?
I’m hoping I’m fortunate enough for them not to take anything.
My fingers are crossed for you too
Su says
Clear legal Marketing
James says
Check through your emails and make sure they didn’t send you an email stating they will waive their fees as they couldn’t process your claim like mine ..
Good luck
Brian says
I used them also but had no correspondence from them for around a year I emailed them & tried ringing them nothing so I rang casheuronet 2 months ago explaining to them & they took them off the claim & sent me the money instead. No doubt I’ll be hearing from them soon thou I don’t mind paying them something but they won’t be getting 25% from me
