Payments – UPDATE – 25 April 2022
Administrators have started sending emails to everyone with an upheld claim telling them what they will be paid.
“The Joint Administrators are now in a position to declare a first and final dividend of 53.5p in the £”
The average claim value is c £1,700. Someone with that claim value will get a payout of about £910.
The payout details are given in the email:
- This will be paid over the next two weeks.
- If the administrators couldn’t validate your banking details, it will be sent by cheque. I don’t know how the administrators will “validate” your details.
- If you used a claims company, the money will be paid to them.
- Most people are not having any deduction for tax paid to HMRC, so there is no need to reclaim anything.
Credit records
The administrators may decide to :
– remove any negative marks on your credit record
– delete all loans that were upheld
– delete all your loans.
I don’t know what they have chosen to do – if people can check and report in the comments when they see a change, that would be great.
How much your credit score will change will depend on whether there were any negative marks. If you want to get a mortgage, you would like as many payday loans gone as possible, even if they were repaid on time and not hurting your credit score.
In a few months when the administrators no longer talk to the CRAs you can ask for any remaining loans to be “suppressed” so other lenders can’t see them. See https://debtcamel.co.uk/correct-credit-records-lender-administration/ but it is too soon to do that now.
QuickQuid went into administration in October 2019
CashEuroNet (CEU), which owns the QuickQuid, Pounds To Pocket and On Stride brands, stopped giving loans and went into administration on 25 October 2019.
I will be talking about QuickQuid (QQ) rather than CashEuroNet as it is the more familiar name. Everything here also applies to loans from Cashruronet’s other brands, Pounds To Pocket and On Stride.
Grant Thornton were appointed as Administrators. They set up a page about Redress Complaints – this is their term for people who have asked for a refund because they were given unaffordable loans.
Background to the QuickQuid Administration
QuickQuid was one of the “Big Three” payday lenders in Britain, starting out in 2007.
After Wonga and the Money Shop Group had all stopped lending and gone bust over the last fifteen months, QuickQuid was left as the largest UK payday lender.
QuickQuid had well over a million customers. When it went into administration there were c. 500,000 customers with outstanding loans.
Many of these customers had prolonged borrowing from QQ. They either rolling loans over or repaid one loan but were left so short of money that they had to borrow again.
These customers have good reasons to win an affordability complaint and get a refund of the interest they paid.
Affordability complaints started on a small scale in 2015 and increased in the next few years.
In 2018, complaints going to the Financial Ombudsman (FOS) jumped with the involvement of Claims Companies and QuickQuid became the most complained about firm to FOS, excluding PPI complaints.
For a long time QQ refused to refund interest on any loans taken more than 6 years before or where the loans were given in 2015 or afterwards. This resulted in a huge backlog of claims at the Financial Ombudsman, where QQ had made very poor offers to customers and then rejected an adjudicator decision.
In late July 2019, QQ agreed to accept several thousand FOS complaints it had previously rejected.
By accepting the FOS decisions on loans over 6 years, long chains of borrowing, and loans taken after 2015, the scale of QQ’s likely future liability for refunds will have become clear to the company.
After failing to persuade the FCA that a Scheme of Arrangement was appropriate, Enova, CEU’s large and profitable US parent, decided to close the UK business, blaming the UK regulatory environment.
How could the regulators let this happen?
This is an excellent question… Stella Creasy, MP called for an inquiry into the FCA over Wonga and QuickQuid.
I have looked at the question here: More payday lenders go under in 2019 – was anything learned from Wonga?
What has happened in the administration
Customers with a valid claim for a refund are “unsecured creditors”. This includes:
- any refunds that were in progress after an amount was agreed or a Final Decision from a FOS Ombudsman (FOS);
- complaints that were underway at QQ or FOS when QQ went under;
- any new complaints sent to the Administrators.
All complaints at FOS legally had to stop and were been passed back to the Administrators. It isn’t possible to send any new complaints to FOS.
It is now too late to submit a Claim for unaffordable lending. The last date was 14 February 2021.
The administrators have given the following statistics about claims:
- 169,000 customers made claims for unaffordable lending;
- 78,000 claims were upheld by the administrators;
- the upheld claims had a total value of £136million, so an average of about £1,700 per claim.
Still owe a balance on a QuickQuid or On Stride loan?
More than 300,000 of the current loans were sold to Lantern in summer 2021. You should have been informed if your loan was sold.
The administrators have now stopped collecting any money from the remaining unsold loans.

I got my email yesterday, very happy with the unexpected higher % and no tax for me means I’ll be getting a lovely £2,274.87. Will pay off my debt and get me a month ahead on my rent again with still a bit to put aside. I however don’t think I ever gave them any bank details, I vaguely remember getting a call from an American speaking lady a year or so ago but I wouldn’t speak to her cz I thought it was a scam – I wonder if that was them? I’m pretty sure I have the same bank account but I don’t live at the address anymore. Do you think it’s worth me calling them? Or should I sit tight for now?
Thanks Sara this site has kept me sane even though we’ve sent you crazy! Haha
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I can’t really guess. Have you changed banks since you took the loans?
Kayleigh D says
No, i don’t really use that account anymore although there is a monthly payment that goes into it and I transfer to and from it so it is active. I’m pretty sure that’s the account I don’t remember closing any accounts with my bank just getting the one I actually use day to day now. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Then if you don’t mind the money going in there you should be OK.
Danny Boy says
I haven’t had an email as yet but I got a notification from my bank to say the funds will be available tomorrow. £1267.16 nice little bonus that I wasn’t expecting……Happy days!!
Chris says
My redress money is going in officially on Thursday but because I am with Monzo I’ll get it tomorrow after 4pm.
It’s showing as pending to my account.
Emma says
Same here I get mine tomorrow it says 2 days but can claim it Wednesday at 4
Steven says
No I haven’t wot I find strange that people are getting paid before others have not had the email as yet can anybody exsplaine please
Sara (Debt Camel) says
some emails never get delivered – some may have gone to an old email address – some may have gone into junk and been deleted.
sam says
everyone who is due to get paid is , my email obviously went to my old email which i have no access , it is just with some bank monzo starling etc you can see incoming payment early,
Lisa says
Hello I am in a similar predicament – I called today and like others waited over an hour to speak with an agent.
I was advised not to worry if I haven’t received an email, they are sending the communications in batches ( I did ask when the last email send was scheduled but the person I spoke to couldn’t confirm)
I did provide my Customer Reference Number and the call handler could only confirm my details ie bank account and email address they hold but not the claim amount or payment date.
I hope this may save someone the trouble of calling and waiting to hear the same thing.
Kings says
Cheers for that Lisa, won’t bother wasting my time calling up now lol
Callum says
Just got through and apparently they sent the email to me at 5:46 yesterday but I can’t find it anywhere and then told me my payment was being sent by cheque – payments being made within two weeks from yesterday
Nadine Wood says
Hey, does it matter if address has changed at all?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
not if they have your correct bank account details.
Mohammed says
I got my email to say how much I will be getting but didn’t update my details they send they would send a cheuqe were can I check this???
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Have you changed bank accounts since you took the loans?
Mohammed says
Yes changed accounts and moved address need to let someone know asap dont know what to do im stressing that im not going to get the money :(
Sara (Debt Camel) says
use the contact details in the email.
Kelly says
Thank god this is finally over! Even though we have waited for 2 and a half years, that final month was so frustrating! I have just seen that my bank is showing that my payment will be going in on Thursday morning. My bank luckily shows BACS payments before they go in. Hopefully others will be getting their money this week too!
Rick says
My redress is showing on my Monzo account as hitting in 2 days (they show bacs payments that are being received in the next couple of days). I got the email immediately, so maybe they are doing it in the order of people being emailed 🤷🏼♂️ Who knows.
Sara – you’re a legend, thanks for all the work that you do for people in need of financial help.
Toya says
Just an update i bank with monzo and I am able to see payments before they clear!
Have just looked in my mobile banking and can see the payment has been sent and I can acces it early tommorow at 4pm so amazing result! Hope everyone gets there payments soon!
Thank you Sara for all your help
Emma says
I’m getting mine tomo my bank is showing payment pending 2 days from now but I can claim it tomo at 4 with my bank so I imagine lots of people will gey it in 2 days
Robert James says
I am with Barclays, I don’t think they let you know about pending payments, so fingers crossed hopefully it’ll be in on Thursday morning.
Emma says
Mines being paid tomorrow showing on my bank
Lesley says
What bank are you in Emma?
Ryan says
Mine is now showing as going in on Thursday with Starling bank.
sam says
monzo is going to break at 4pm lol 💰
Gloria says
I had serious suicide thoughts at the end of 2018 due to the vicious cycle of loans I’d been getting for 7 years. My wages were only covering my priority bills and the loans. I then had to take other loans to get me through to my next wage. I was gambling online and whilst it gave me a buzz if I occasionally won, the despair I felt when I lost was horrendous. I fessed up to my mum, who was very angry at my stupidity, but took out a loan to pay them all off. I joined GamStop and put affordability claims into 5 of these lenders with QQ being the last to settle. All in all I’ve had around 9k back. I paid mum back and bought all new white goods over the last 3 years. The rest has gone into a savings account for my Son, so he can take his driving lessons next year. This last payout will add to that to put towards a car. I can now sleep at night, my credit rating is now excellent and I feel like I can breathe again. I want to thank Sara for all the advice about claiming. I wish each and every one of you all the best for your futures and hope we have all learned our lesson from taking out these loans.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
So glad those dark times are behind you.
Bernie66 says
How courageous of you to share this. I’m so glad you are debt free and happy! Well done you! Amazing! 👏👏your family must be so proud of you.
Gloria says
Thank you x
Geoff says
So happy for you Gloria – you definitely are not alone in your experience and you have done amazingly well to get to where you are today!
LUCY says
Thanks so much for sharing! So glad you are out of that now and really hope this can help towards better days ahead for you and your family xxx
Darren says
Yippee
£1300 going into my account Thursday
That will get me a bag of shopping at Waitrose 😎
timothy dunk says
How do you know you are getting it Thursday darren? Mine just says within 2 weeks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
several banks including Monzo, Starling and HSMC tell you when you have a payment pending for the next day.
Sarah says
I have Monzo and can see the redress payment is due on Thursday. I can access it tomorrow after 4pm.
Hopefully gives some people hope they’ll get it before bank holiday weekend!
Sean says
Same, I can see it’s going in Thursday with access after 4pm tomorrow too. (Monzo)
Mandy says
Hi Sara, in September 2017 I took out a micro loan with Ferratum UK. This rolled on for over 12 months. I don’t have any details anymore, but could you advise if this is worth chasing up? Thankyou
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Unless you have some details, I am not sure how anyone can guess?
A Li says
I didnt have my details at all other than basic name, address and email/phone number for a few of my claims but the companies found them theirslefs using the above. Give it a try you won’t lose anything.
Gary says
Will this payout effect my universal credit so I can prepare incase?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
This counts as capital, not income, for UC. So unless you will have over 6k in the bank you shouldn’t have a problem or need to tell the DWP about it,
Laz says
When I put my claim in for QQ thought nothing would come of it based on what I had back from Wonga but I am so happy to get compensation, I was in such a vicious cycle with payday loans and it was a dark dark time.
I also had loans with Lending Stream but these were back in 2011. Is there a time limit where I can make a claim against them?
Thank you!
Sara (Debt Camel) says
April 2007 – send LS a complaint now!
Laz says
Done thankyou so much Sara!
Zee says
I’ve submitted a claim to lending stream and whilst I would looking through my emails (I’m a hoarder), I was horrified when I saw that during one period they were literally emailing me everyday saying how easy it would be to roll over. I had forgotten how aggressive their marketing was.
Mick says
I just contacted the Quick Quid tel number just now and got through within 5 mins, although i did give them my bank account details a year ago it seems they could not verify it but they told me a cheque would be sent to my home address which would take about 2 weeks….Just hope the post doesn’t loose the letter.
Shane says
I’ve been calling the number all day and for over 90 minutes and constantly on hold.
Matt says
I’ve been on hold for 38 mins so far
Chris says
Hi I’m also with Monzo and don’t have any pending payment so guess it depends on the batch you are in but glad people are being paid.
J says
Re change of bank account details
Hi all, if you read the FAQS that came with the email yesterday it states that it is too late to change bank details and a cheque will be issued to the address they have on file BUT…I had an email from them this morning after me querying what bank account details they held for me and you can still provide updated bank details- extract from my email this am
If the above details are no longer valid and you need to update your bank account, please email Claims@casheuronetuk.co.uk promptly with the supporting documentation outlined below.
1. Updated bank account details
2. Passport/Drivers licence
3. Bank statement/Bank card
Dominic Cross says
Just emailed that email, been trying to get hold of them for days and no joy.
Dominic Cross says
Been trying to contact them for the last 2 days, been on hold for over an hour today. I’ve just emailed the email address you quoted. Hopefully they’ll reply soon enough for me to change my details.
Michael says
I have just spoke to the enquires team as my bank account on file was an old one, so had to email proof of bank details and a form of ID and bank account will be changed but you only can do this for a week
Chezza says
Hi Michael had you previously notified the team of a bank account change? I’m just curious.
I communicated with them in 2021 so hopefully my old bank account was updated.
Thanks
Michael says
No I remember being contacted by cash euro net a long while back regarding the claim but only confirmed home address was correct to be honest didn’t think anything would come of it, so called last night and sorted new bank info, all quite smooth for me
Sue says
When I queried what bank account details they held for me on 29 March and they were incorrect. I was told to call 0800 016 3250 and speak to an advisor. I did that the same day and she took my new account information over the telephone. I wasn’t asked to provide any ID proof so I’m starting to worry it hasn’t been changed.
Rob says
Hi all,
Some exciting news. As I use Monzo, sometimes they offer to pay certain inbound payments to me a day early. I can see my QQ refund is due to be in my account on Thursday. So clearly, the payments are going out sooner rather than later. Hope it’s as quick for the rest of you.
J says
Sorry to go off topic but desperately trying to get my finances in order and this new from QQ has given me a boost!
Has anyone made a successful claim against 118?
They tell me I told them it was an affordable loan yet despite me paying it off (via everyday) and then issuing me a further loan says it was not irresponsible lending
Sara (Debt Camel) says
118 often reject good claims – they are losing a lot of cases at the Ombudsman so send it over to FOS, don’t be fobbed off. See comments below this page: https://debtcamel.co.uk/refunds-large-high-cost-loans/
J says
Thanks Sara.
They say I signed the loan agreement and told them it was affordable. Is it worth even going back or straight to the ombudsman? X
Sara (Debt Camel) says
they don’t negotiate – straight to the Ombudsman.
Ryan says
I had my complaint rejected by 118118 themselves. But upheld by the FOS, I gave the FOS my bank statements, credit file and wrote them a detailed explanation as to why it was unaffordable. The FOS upheld in my favour, paid of outstanding balance. Plus i got some money back too.
Ip says
118 118 rejected my claim and I sent the claim to the Ombudsman and got my full refund.
Luke says
I got fobbed of by 118 money when I put a claim in, they made me feel like I was to blame and were quite nasty in the way they did it. Never the less I sent my case to the obuds and 18 months later I got all loans written off and a payment of 6k! So don’t let them fob you off! This will be the next company to go bust I’m sure of it. Good luck
Benn says
*Patiently tapping fingers* still no email…….. I hope I get my accepted claim amount landing in my bank by the end of the week or early next week, really need this money at the moment and it’s starting to get annoying not knowing or having comfirmation….. Having read though this thread it seems a nightmare to get through to speak to them via phone and I have sent an email asking for an update for myself with no response yet…..
Seems Monzo is the place to bank to see your money coming!!
Suhail Mohmed says
Still no email for me too.
Maz says
Check your junk mail. That’s where mine was sitting ☺️
Graham says
Yeah, check your Junk / Spam folder.
That is where mine arrived in.
Joanne meade says
I’m feeling a bit deflated no email I’ve tryed all day calling on hold for over an hour each time so happy for people receiving there payments in couple of days but I feel so anxious just seems a lot if people have heard something
adders says
Check your spam/junk mail, do you have the old emails? You can search euronet in emails.
richard says
Evening all,
I had an email yesterday, confirming a 3k payment. Anyone expecting an email, make sure you check your junk folder too, as mine arrived there.
cheers
Mairi says
Hi Sara, can you please tell me the email address to MyJar and what to say for a claim against unaffordability regards loans. Thank you.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
send complaints to myjar@harrisons.uk.com with CLAIM as the subject. Just say that your loans were unaffordable and you want to make a claim for a refund on interest.
Charles says
Would like to reiterate the Monzo comment. I’ve had confirmation my amount will hit my account on Thursday and with Monzo can access tomorrow. The payments are being made guys. Great news for all.
Ryan says
Hi, my bank account has remained the same for years and is the same account that I used for my QQ loans years ago. Therefore, will my refund be sent to the bank account they have on my QQ account file even if I can’t remember validating it on the portal? Thanks
Jeanette says
I’ve been trying to get them to change my banking details for months now!!! No one ever answered my calls or emails
I’m afraid I won’t see any of this as previously with NatWest who just closed my account while working out a covid payment plan
I’m afraid NatWest will keep this money and not return it
So frustrating as I feel hopeless in this situation
Kirsty says
I think NatWest will have to return the money to the sender if your account is closed. I had an account with them too and they closed it – I was sent money by a friend who didn’t check my details remained the same . NatWest bounced the payment back to her. I’d imagine CEN will end up sending you a cheque 🙏
Ryan says
First of all, big up Sara. You’ve helped a lot of people here.
Also, my debt was sold to Lantern/Moriarty Law, and I paid £740 to them in instalments over the years until they agreed to suspend payments in light of my complaint regarding this situation.
Am I able to claim back the £740 that I paid to Lantern/ML as well?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
You need to ask QQ about this. But see https://debtcamel.co.uk/quickquid-casheuronet-administration/comment-page-28/#comment-481691 which suggests that you may get a good result.
Mary says
My redress is in pending transactions HSBC an will be available tomorrow. Happy days
Daniel says
I’m with HSBC and I have a pending payment for tomorrow. I hope this helps
David says
Just for info, my funds are showing pending now and will be in on the 28th. Happy days.
Sara F says
I bank with HSBC and have a payment pending showing for tomorrow. Over £1800 coming to me yay!
My email was pretty early on ‘email day’ (around 4pm) … just in case that’s an indication of which batch we’re in.
I hope it’s as quick for the rest of you.
Gary says
Just checked my bank this morning have my cash euro nett payment pending for tomorrow, looks like nice bank holiday incoming was worth the wait , I bank with first direct
Daniel says
Ditto
£3400 going in tomorrow
Kerry says
I rung up three weeks ago to change my bank account but she said she couldn’t accept monzo. So I had to give my Barclays instead.
Had an email how much I’m getting paid but haven’t seen anything pending yet
Sara (Debt Camel) says
That is totally bizarre.
Stewart says
That is very weird they said that. I bank with Monzo and i can see my payment coming through and i can get it from today at 4pm.
Mara says
Hi Kerry
Can you see pending transactions in Barclays Mobile app as well?
Thank you
Henry says
Mara
I had the email pretty early on too so assume will get my redress Thursday also
I bank with Barclays they are so behind the times and don’t show incoming pending payments.
I did try ringing them yesterday to ask but gave up after a direct call from the app took over 30 mins and they hung up.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I don’t think the timing of the email necessarily has any connection with when you will be paid. or the claim number.
Mara says
Thanks Henry
It seems that Barclays doesn’t show pending transactions unlike other banks(only if you pay it to yourself).
I have called QQ Customer support instead (just in case). They have the correct bank details so got that off my chest :) Not worried anymore
Kerry says
I can’t see any as yet so I’m getting a bit worried that they actually did change the bank like I asked them.
Gee says
Hi just checked and you can’t ….(so old skool! lol)
Rang customer service who could not see anything but said doesn’t mean it’s not there?? so may still be credited tomorrow.
Just have to be patient…
Dan says
Hi Mara, I’m also waiting for payment to my Barclays account and can’t see anything pending. Hopefully it’s just not a feature Barclays include, and we will be receiving the funds very soon too!
Mara says
Hi Dan. Well, hopefully, if someone will get funds tomorrow on their Barclays Bank account -will post it here .
Mick says
For those who use Starling, I can also see my payment now due for tomorrow too so I think we can safely assume many others in this first batch will receive their payments, finally, before the end of the week.
This time last week, who’d have thought we’d get over 50% and payment ahead of the 30th April deadline? I’ll tell you who…Sara! A voice of patience, reason and sagely advice throughout.
Ben says
I’m with Starling and not seeing anything yet
Kyleigh says
Hi all, so happy we’ve finally come to the end.
Just to let you know I bank with HSBC and my redress payment will be available tomorrow 😁
Good luck all.
Also thank you so much Sara I’m sure we have all been hard work! Thanks for all your advice and patience with all of this x
Caroline Edge says
Same here 😊😊😊😊

Sarah
Can’t thank you enough
I lost my husband shortly after the payday loan stupidity five years ago which I took out during his last year when I decided we would live life to the full as much as we could with neck cancer
We bought a caravan totally did it out it was his project an we just took off on a whim so often all over the uk beautiful Yorkshire Cumbria wales Scotland an so on
It was his pride an joy an I don’t regret a minute as it bought him peace
Needs must at the time
Worries shelved until later
Since his passing I’ve worked fulltime an paid everything off an I’m due to retire later this year at last
So Thankyou as this is such a bonus I’m to get 5k back an I hope to return to some of our favourite places anni know he cheers me on for not giving in to these sharks
Life is short an sometimes we make stupid decisions but hopefully we learn as we go along
You deserve an OBE
Thankyou from the bottom of my heart an the top of the Brecon Beacons !!! X
qq says
Enjoy your voyages – well deserved. Thank you for sharing your story.
John says
Does anyone know how I could see pending payments with Halifax?
natasha says
i am also with Halifax i can only see outgoing payments in pending can never see payments coming in so i guess we will just have to hope it comes through tomorrow or Friday
MP says
I keep looking at mine. I’m with Lloyds and you can’t see payments going in 🙈
EH says
I’m with RBS and I don’t have access to see pending transactions in either. Hopefully will see it land in our accounts this week.
Sabrina says
I to am with RBS and how I wish I could see pending transactions for money going into the bank 🙈🤣
Dan says
There is no way to see pending payments for Halifax or Lloyd’s, if you are expecting a payment over 2.5k you may get a call from your acc opening branch advising that its coming in as they sometimes get a report in the morning but not always and it’s not something the phone banking team can see so don’t waste time trying to call. Just be patient I’m sure if others are getting payment tomorrow you will receive yours in the next few days too
Clare says
118 fobbed me off so I sent it to the FOS but because I didn’t send it in the 6 months from complaining the FOS said I needed a good reason for them to investigate. I said that they had been investigating Avant Credit and other creditors of loans given to me and the Adjudicators and Ombudsman’s had come to the conclusion that they irresponsibly lent to me and 118 was taken out at the same time so a good reason to investigate but the FOS said they wouldn’t which I still think is wrong on their part.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I am sorry but you do have to send complaints to FOS within 6 months. It’s best to send them straight away. FOS can only look at a late complaint if you were in prison or hospital or there was some other emergency.
This is why many lenders like 118 reject good claims, they know many people will just give up or delay too long.
Clare says
Hi Sara I had been sending other complaints to the FOS which where all being upheld but at the time of 118 I was going through a bereavement so I wasn’t really thinking straight. Also 118 do say some very worrying comments so it gets you very concerned so you don’t think you should send to the FOS. I did tell them all this but they wouldn’t investigate.
Tony says
Has anyone who didn’t receive an email on Tuesday received one since? The casheuronet website states everyone was informed on the 25th but I still haven’t received anything
Dave says
I am still yet to receive an email. Can’t get through on the phone to ask so I emailed them yesterday, still awaiting a reply.
Benn says
I’m the same can not get through to them on the phone, on hold for nearly an hour and don’t have the time to wait & wait & wait, sent email yesterday with no response yet either…….
Andy says
No I’ve had nothing yet either, and no response to an email I sent yesterday morning. Will give it till later today then maybe try and make a call tomorrow.
Joanne says
Is there many people yet to receive emails announcement on casheuronet website states all creditors now been advised percentage but I haven’t trying so hard not to worry but when u can’t get in contact with them really not sure what to do
Dave says
Hi, I am yet to receive an email… I’m getting concerned now!
Marcus says
Hi Dave and others, I haven’t received the email yet either but I’m guessing 😅 we must be a batch near the end, there are over 78,000 successful claim so it must take some time…
Benn says
Still waiting for the email, nothing in spam coming either, getting annoying now!
Andre says
As a word of advice, makes sure to check the inboxes/spam folders of any old email addresses you may have been using previously – as many people received their email to an old email address (even after they thought they had updated contact details with QQ)
Also, seems there are a good few who believe they haven’t received the email, but can see a payment now pending with their bank (Monzo/Starling/HSBC)
Hope that helps👍
Warren says
I have not received an email yet.
I called QQ first thing and was advised by the really helpful call adviser that there was nothing to worry about. Emails are going out in batches, payment was set up to go and she confirmed the amount and my details.
Just give it a day or so before calling them and see you if a payment is received. It does seem really well organised so try not to panic.
Just to echo other comments.. such a great site and wonderful service, thank you Sara 👍
Zee says
I think it’s the same administrators as with Wonga which I was initially really upset about because Wonga was so chaotic but perhaps they’ve learned and perhaps they didn’t announce the payment until they’d already got lots of the payments set up. Honestly Wonga refunds were organised so badly but seemingly lessons have been learned.
Matt says
Good morning, I also bank with HSBC and can see a pending transaction! Good luck everyone, spend the money wisely! We were all sucked into a terrible payday loan trap! Hopefully all is well now! Thank you Sara for your continued support for us all! True hero 🦸🏻♀️ for sure!
BT says
It all makes sense to think that once you receive the email it is likely you will get payment in 3-4 working days as it is the usual time that it takes to BACS.
Mine going in tomorrow also as Monzo just informed me 😍😍😍
Sara (Debt Camel) says
That would be great but we may just be hearing from the first batch of payments… we don’t know how many batches there will be.
BT says
Indeed. My second claim (I have two) was accepted but since it was done much after my first claim, I haven’t yet received the email. Monzo only shows the payment for the first claim that was in the first batch.
Fingers crossed this will all be over soon
Sharon says
My email arrived at 6ish Monday evening and bank app is informing money will be in account tommoz
Thank you for all help and comments.
LUCY says
Great to see a glimpse of the payments! I’m with Barclays, so no clue what payments are pending, but hoping for payment by Friday. But within the 2 weeks window is good too! Nearly over xx
Cheryl says
I’m with Barclays and can’t see anything.
Susan says
Yes I to am getting my money tomorrow. I would not of completed my claim if it was not foe this page. I missed out on a claim with money shop aa I thought it was a scam. Since coming here I’ve also made a successful claim with Mr Lender and will do one with Lending steam. Thanks all especially Sara for getting me through this. I hope this payment helps us all to get out of debt and sleep at night. I will make a donation to citizens advice aa suggested earlier in the group.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
That would be very kind.
Or to your local food bank.
Steve says
How did you find complaining to mr lender? I sent an email complaint, now everything is done via post 🤦♂️
Have to wait 8 weeks now for a postal response..
Nic 51 says
Can I ask how long Mr Lender took to respond to your complaint and how old the loans were? I have just put in a complaint to them for loans from 2011 through to 2017 which were eventually managed by a debt management company, had no idea that step change would do this for free!!
Sara (Debt Camel) says
probably 8 weeks. And then by letter! Send the complaint to the Ombudsman if they reject it saying the loans were more than 6 years ago as the Ombudsman will often look at these older cases.
Nic 51 says
Thank you Sara
I noticed it was all being responded to by post which is weird but hey ho whatever.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Just make sure you look out for a response. People have said they never received it and then when they followed up after a year, that it is too late to take the claim to the Ombudsman.
stephen says
No email but payment is showing as pending in my First Direct (hsbc) account! Doesn’t look like tax has been deducted and mine were really old loans. Who knows!!! But after nearly 5 years, this is finally put to bed. I was one of the so called people on the spreadsheet who was waiting payment within 28 days before they went in to admissions. It was heart reaching waiting for all that money to hit my account and then nothing. Now getting just over 50% is something and would just like to say a huge thank you to Sara for all the work you have done for the thousands of people on here. You deserve more recognition for what you have done. Hope everyone else gets there redress shortly.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
it’s been a long time coming. But at least it isn’t 5%…
James says
Hi so I got my email at 17.14 Monday, bank with Halifax (which I think is Lloyds) I can’t see anything yet… do you think it’s on a later batch ?
Marcello says
Hi Everyone,
My account is with Lloyds Bank and I got my email Monday 25th.
Has anybody got any ideas if I’ll get the funds tomorrow Thursday 28th?
Does anyone bank with Lloyds?
Thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I think the time you got the email is probably irrelevant. You can’t see transactions pending with Halifax. You may be paid tomorrow or not, no-one can guess.
Anita says
I bank with HSBC and mines pending for tomorrow. I received my email around 4pm Monday so may be staggering payments if anyone’s concerned there’s isn’t showing yet 😊
Jim says
Yes, I can see my payment on HSBC coming in tomorrow. 👍👍. And my email notification on Monday was one of the later ones at 6.18pm
Catherine says
My bank (HSBC) is showing the payment pending for tomorrow (Thurs 28th), I got my email on Monday PM. The end is in sight, I really thought this day might never come at some points. The repayment means I now have savings for the first time ever having now cleared all my debts over the last 4 years! Thank you Sarah for all your help in enabling me to achieve this!
Gary says
Hi all. I dunno if this has been answered already but will this payout effect my universal credit?
Many thanks for a reply 👍
Sara (Debt Camel) says
This counts as capital, not income, for UC. So unless you will have over 6k in the bank you shouldn’t have a problem or need to tell the DWP about it.
Doug says
My online banking app told me this morning that the money’s in the bank tomorrow!
Jessica says
Hi Sara,
Looking back at the email I received from Cash EuroNet back in February last year with the outcome of my claim assessment, I can see that they ‘accepted’ the claim against all of loans I took out (a mix of Quick Quid & On Stride) aside from 2 of the loans. One of the ‘rejected’ loans relates to one I had with OnStride – where about a year plus after paying off the loan in full ahead of schedule, it appeared on my Experian credit report that I had supposedly defaulted on the loan 2 years prior to this (dated to 2017). This was news to me – I never received a warning of default, or default notice. For some reason this hadn’t appeared on my credit report until almost 2 years after the supposed default date, which they did acknowledge was a mistake. I went through about a year of querying it with Experian, then On Stride directly who upheld it was correct, and tried my case with to the Ombudsman however because they then went into administration the ombudsman couldn’t pursue it. I then picked this up with Grant Thornton & had no positive result.
I’m not looking for a further refund, but rather to understand after years of trying to get the default removed if there’s any way I can get them to remove this still considering all my other loans were accepted (with a payment pending today). Do you think this is worth me still trying to appeal with the administrators to get this default removed? Thank you
Sara (Debt Camel) says
This is hugely annoying. I don’t think you are likely to get much sense out of the adjudicators.
However, in 3-4 months the administrators will have stopped talking to the Credit Reference Agencies and at that point you can ask Experian (and any other CRA it is showing on – have you checked Equifax and TransUnion?) to “suppress the loan”. See https://debtcamel.co.uk/correct-credit-records-lender-administration/
J says
Hi are they making payments in claim number order?
Anyone with nationwide?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I doubt it is claim number order.
Wayne says
I am and got nothing yet, but they did say 2 weeks
Joanna says
I’m with Nationwide I got my email just after 4pm Monday.
You can’t see pending credits with Nationwide only pending visa debit. Will see what shows tomorrow or Friday!
Linda says
Yes I am but nothing yet but had the email
Andy says
I’ve just rang nationwide to check any bacs incoming payments and they said there’s nothing on there.
Timbo says
I have done the same in the past with nationwide and often it doesn’t mean a payment won’t go in tomorrow just that it’s not pending yet.
J says
@andy.
Is that because with nationwide they can’t see any pending payments?
Andy says
Possibly. To be fair I get paid on Friday so surely if they could see pending payments. Then that would have shown up. But they said nothing was on there
Laura says
Nationwide don’t ever allow site of incoming pending payments other than cheques. Doesn’t mean it won’t arrive tomorrow/Friday though.
Thomas says
Set up a higher balance text alert. You set an amount and when your balance exceeds it, you’ll get a text. Just spoke to them via online chat and they confirmed they have no pending facility and no way of checking on their system either. It simply lands in the account when they carry out the run overnight.
Lucy says
Still haven’t received an email!
Quick question regarding paying debt back to QQ, my debt was sold to PRA group many years ago that I’m finally trying to pay back but when I questioned them about the debt being classed as unaffordable they said I still had to pay (which I am doing).
Sara (Debt Camel) says
You need to ask QQ what is happening about this.
See https://debtcamel.co.uk/quickquid-casheuronet-administration/comment-page-28/#comment-481691 which suggests that you may get a good result.
Lucy says
Thank you I’ll look into it
Zee says
I had a different debt with PRA Group and they were chasing me for ages and I was told them I settled this in a debt plan but Lloyds hadn’t closed it down correctly. Anyway, eventually I said to them when exactly was this debt from and it turned out it was over 6 years ago and they stopped chasing me from that point so I would make a point to ask them when the debt is from.

Checked my bank this moening nothing there ( Santander) – Maybe tommoz – I dont believe this is true until the cash hits the bank
Ryan says

CB says
Hi all
I bank with HSBC and my payment is showing as going in tomorrow!
Ryan says
Same bank hsbx
Mark says
Showing in my Starling account as a payment tomorrow.
Curtis says
Hi mark, you dont perhaps remember how you validated banking details? I’m trying to remember if I did it, don’t have an email chain but think.. think we just logged in to do so?
Ben Picot says
Hi Curtis, I called QQ a couple of weeks ago and they updated my bank details over the phone. I also had to send a bank statement so they could validate them, had confirmation it was done but nothing is showing as pending on my Starling account. Wondering if this means we are in later batches
Curtis says
Quick one for anyone who may have an answer – got my email. Usual concerns floating about now, did I confirm my bank details? I haven’t got an audit trail to confirm bank details but I’m nearly sure I just logged into quickquid and did this at one point.
My address has changed but bank details have remained the same. Anyone remember how they validated bank details?
I’m Santander so they don’t show pending payments unless they are cheques I’ve handed in.
Mark says
Casheuronet emailed an I had to send proof of account by email a year ago.
Not sure if this was a thing everyone had to do though.
Joanna says
Hi on 2 March 2021 I got an email re can’t validate bank details (they were for a since closed account), and gave me 3 options to sort.
I chose to email the new bank deets, and on 22 March 2021 customer support confirmed by email back that they had received them.
Adam says
Exactly same boat as you with Santander, got email Monday but no pending. Pretty sure I confirmed bank details when asked some time ago I think it was through the portal we were asked to confirm bank details.
Thomas says
Payment at 4pm for those with monzo. Wooop
Marie says
Showing in my Monzo bank account as going in tomorrow, and with Monzo you can choose to get pqid 4pm today. Happy days :)
matthew t says
Glad i seen this article as i changed bank since they sent me my partially accepted email in Jan 2021. I’ve had no other email form them since so on the phone trying to get through to confirm they will be sending me out a cheque.
Anyone else in the same situation?
Mick says
I wrote this last night………I just contacted the Quick Quid tel number just now and got through within 5 mins, although i did give them my bank account details a year ago it seems they could not verify it but they told me a cheque would be sent to my home address which would take about 2 weeks….Just hope the post doesn’t loose the letter.
Hayley Bradley says
Hi Mick, I have been on hold for 1 hour and they cut me off…. what number did you ring?
Thanks
matt says
Spoke to them and sent them my updated bank details :)
Cal says
Yes! I spoke to them yesterday and they said my payment was actually coming in form of a cheque – not sure why as I updated my bank details in January, but aslong as I get the money I’m a happy chappy
Hayley says
HI, I still have not received an email. Has anyone received an email since Monday? Does anyone know if they are still sending emails?
Thanks
Hayley
Matthew says
Hi Haley,
I’ve not received an email but my pending transactions on my HSBC banking app are showing a payment tomorrow.
Richard says
Hi guys, just confirming that my bank app is showing the redress coming to my account tomorrow.
My accepted claim was £9,498.2, and the amount coming tomorrow is £5086.13
Someone do the maths but this looks over 50%!
Will confirm tomorrow that money has come through
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes it should be 53%… did you not get an email on Monday saying how much you would get?
Richard says
I did not get it, but I believe people only got emails if they signed up to something specifically? So was really just coming to this site every now again for updates (you’ve done a great job!)
Sara (Debt Camel) says
people only got the general administration updates if they signed up for them. But everyone should have been sent an email saying how much they would be paid.
A small donation to your local Citizens Advice or food bank would be lovely.
Emma says
Does anyone bank with Halifax as I have nothing pending
Dan says
Halifax won’t show pending payments in
Lou7 says
Hi Emma,
I bank with Halifax and have nothing pending either
Clare says
How can you tell if anything is pending? I didn’t think you could with Halifax.
Tracy says
I also bank with Halifax and cannot see anything.
I rang them earlier to see if they could check this pending payment, but their reply was they are the receiving back and cannot see the payment until it has landed.
Aww well check again tomorrow
James says
Yep me , I don’t think it shows on the app or online. It only shows deposits you make like cheque etc we can only hope for the best 🤷🏼
Nick says
Hi Sara
Cash euro net sold an outstanding loan debt to lantern that I have settled via an IVA but the amount Is still being deducted from my refund!
Do you know where I stand with this?
Thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Many people with a sold loan may get a good result but need to ask the administrators what is happening – see this thread https://debtcamel.co.uk/quickquid-casheuronet-administration/comment-page-28/#comment-481691.
But in your case the IVA is a difficult complication. In theory your whole refund should probably be paid to your IVA firm.
Chris says
Hi Sara
Do you know anything about Ferrantum? I had several
Loans with them apparently they have gone into
Liquidation?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Ferratum (now known as ounapuu) are now in administration. Send a very brief complaint to customercare@ounapuu.co.uk
Nick says
Hi Sara

Sara (Debt Camel) says
That sounds correct.
