Quick overview
Provident’s Scheme of Arrangement is now in the final stages.
The Scheme was proposed because Provident could not afford to carry on paying full refunds to customers winning affordability complaints. The Financial Ombudsman was upholding 75% of complaints against Provident.
The FCA, Provident’s regulator, said it did not approve of the Scheme. But as Provident has stopped providing doorstep loans, the FCA did not object to the Scheme in court.
It started officially on 5 August 2021 after it was approved in court. The deadline for claims was the end of February 2022.
Provident has assessed claims and informed customers of their decision. The large majority of appeals have been held.
Provident is making payments to bank accounts or sending cheques:
- it is paying 4.2557p in the £;
- so if your redress was £1,000, you will receive about £42;
- a final letter will be uploaded to your portal account setting out the payment;
- the first bank payments will be arriving in accounts on Tuesday 5 July.
Here is confirmation from one reader (see the comments below for others):
FUNDS PENDING!!!
Hi all, I’m new to this to thread but just thought I would give an update.
I have a Monzo account, it is showing my Bacs credit as going into my account on Monday, for most people with standard accounts this means you will be be paid Tuesday
I can also confirm it is 4.2557% as stated.
Glad it’s eventually been sorted.
But no-one should assume they will get their payment next week.
They may be going out in batches. And in any mass payment, some of them fail. Do not plan your July finances on the assumption that you will get paid early in the month.
Which loans were covered by the Scheme?
More than 4 million people were given a loan by Provident that comes under the Scheme.
These loans were given between 6 April 2007 and 17 December 2020.
The loans came from four different brands:
- Provident – often called “doorstep loans” or “home credit”;
- Satsuma payday loans;
- Greenwood – another doorstep loan brand that hasn’t been used since 2014;
- Glo – a very small guarantor loan brand.
If you have an affordability complaint about Vanquis or Moneybarn, these complaints are NOT included in the Scheme. You can still make a normal affordability complaint and get a full refund.
The definition of “unaffordable”
A loan is only “affordable” if you could repay it on time and still be able to pay your other debts, bills and living expenses.
You may have paid the loan on time, but it may still have been unaffordable.
If paying Provident left you so short of money you had to borrow more or you got behind with bills then it was “unaffordable”.
If you had several loans without a break between them, then Provident should have realised you were trapped in a cycle of borrowing and that these expensive loans were not affordable. Even a single loan can be unaffordable if it is large.
How much will you be paid?
The next stage is for Provident to divide up the £50 million in the Scheme between the people who have had their complaints upheld.
Customers who made a claim have been told which loans have been upheld and what the total redress for these loans is. You will be paid a percentage of this redress number, not all of it.
When the Scheme was voted on, many people thought they were being told that the payout would be 10%, or 10p in the £. I said at the time that that looked unlikely and it could only have been based on an unusually low number of people making a claim.
For several months Provident has been quoting a range, saying:
Based on the claims that we have received to date, we estimate that the pence in the pound rate of compensation to be paid to each customer will be between 4-6p.
Now it is known that Provident will only be paying 4.2557p in the £.
A final letter will be added to your portal account setting out what you will be paid.
Credit records will be cleaned
In other schemes and Administrations, some people say getting rid of a default was the most important result for them. Not the small cash refund!
For upheld loans, any defaults or missed payments will be removed from your credit record.
This clean up will be done at the end, when they can do everyone’s together. This is very annoying if you want to make a mortgage application, but there is nothing you can do to speed it up.
If your credit record is not cleaned in this process, there will probably be no-one to complain to about this. But there is process for resolving this sort of problem, see Correct credit records by “suppressing” them if the lender has disappeared.
Current loans
Loans that were sold to a debt collector
If your loan was sold to a debt collector, Provident is trying to get this settled. This seems to be taking some time, for example with Lowell saying they haven’t been given the right information from Provident. Several people are complaining about these in the comments below.
Loans that hadn’t been sold were written off in December 2021
In December Provident announced that it was no longer collecting any payments for existing loans:
There is nothing you need to do. You can stop making payments on your outstanding loans owed to PPC and if your payments are taken by the Continuous Payment Authority (CPA), we will stop these for you. Any payments made after 31st December 2021 will be paid back to you.
If you’re in arrears or didn’t pay your loan within the time we agreed when you got your loan, we’ll update your file with our Credit Reference Agency to show the balance as zero and partially settled.
Your credit record is being changed to show that the loan is partially settled or partially satisfied.
If you are a Provident or Satsuma customer, you should have been told about this by email or letter.
That is a pathetic payout
Provident is a successful company with the profitable Vanquis and Moneybarn brands which are still in business. It is a disgrace that the regulator has allowed them to structure their business in a way that has permitted Provident to abandon all its doorstep lending customers and not pay them their proper redress.
If you are feeling mad that Provident has got away with paying you so little, this is the time to look at whether you can make other affordability complaints, not just for loans but for other types of credit.
I have a separate page for each sort, as they need slightly different template letters to complain:
- refunds for large loans, including Moneybarn and other car finance;
- refunds from catalogues and credit cards such as Vanquis;
- refunds from overdrafts
- Morses scheme
- refunds from other doorstep lenders;
- refunds from Lending Stream, Safetynet Credit and other payday lenders.
Gord says
Just spoke to someone called Mohammad and was told another story they have started doing a SMALL amount of payments today and running till Tuesday and money should be in banks by next week and still don’t know what percentage we are getting will get an emai telling us this has anyone had an email
Susan Knowles says
So when should we receive are money into are accounts
Gord says
They wouldn’t give an exact date on phone or an exact percentage there must be someone who oversees these schemes as provident are doing as they like why have a customer services dept when the operators know nothing
Sara (Debt Camel) says
There is no one that oversees Schemes. You would have to go to court to try to get any redress and of course no one can afford to do that for small amounts of money.
Charlotte says
People are saying Tuesday but we will wait to see
Ashleigh Oakes says
I just got this email, this absolutely wasn’t what I asked them but its good to know so thought I’d paste it here. This is from provident themselves.
Thank you for your email.
We are currently in the process of dispersing all compensation payments.
We expect bank transfers to reach bank accounts around 5 July (this could vary slightly depending on your bank).
Cheques will start to be issued from 5 July and should arrive within the first two weeks of July.
Thank you for your patience.
Julie says
Hi Sara
Will we get a message to say we have been paid or will it just go into our bank account?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
In this sort of situation, normally people are informed beforehand about the exact percentage that is being paid, But I don’t know what Provident is planning to do.
Julie says
Ok thanks anyway. I’ll just keep checking bank
Marc says
In the redress letters the actual wording is…
“We will notify you when all claims have been agreed and we are able to process all compensation payments. We expect this to be by 1st July 2022.”
I think it’s highly likely that they will use the portal. In the same way as they used the portal to confirm the outcome of the redress, they will use it again to confirm that they are in the process of making your payment and the total amount is £xxxx.
They probably won’t all be updated in the portal on the same date (just like the redress letters), so there’ll be no need to panic when you hear that other people have had their’s but you have not.
Lisa says
Is anyone able to answer, I was told I would get inbetween 400-600, can’t remember exact figure. Could this now be a lot lower than what they said??
Sara (Debt Camel) says
no, it should be a bit over £400 (if you remembered the numbers correctly)
Lisa says
Just looked it’s inbetween 462-695, thank you for answering. I was a bit worried thinking it had gone lower than what they said .
Kat says
I emailed this morning, and they told me payments have started, they expect them to hit bank accounts on 5th of July.
Also that cheques would be sent out from the 5th of July.
Joanne says
Can’t get through on the phone… bunch of charlatans
Damien says
Fortunately I am in a much better position then I was back when I got involved with these companies so the money when it does arrive is just going to be unexpected extra cash (between £80 – £130), though I truly feel for others for whom, especially in these time, it will make a huge difference
I just don’t understand why they can’t be more transparent in their dealings, just some sort of update on the portal letting people know what the current situation is would surely save them a lot of aggravation.
Memories of the Wonga debacel over payments being issued come to mind
N List says
How many people like myself came on here this morning hoping to see some good news that at least one person had received a payment….but as we can see the answer is a big fat no
Marc says
I know, it sucks. You could maybe take comfort in the fact that of the potential 4.2 million customers potentially making a claim under the scheme, if we assume there’s maybe 200 people chatting on here, that means our demographic represents around 0.005% of the potential population.
We are a very tiny voice in a really big crowd. So it’s not all bad news, there could be hundreds or thousands of people that have already heard about their pay out, it’s just none of the few hundred that care enough to comment on here.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I think it is fair to assume that no one so far has been paid out. As soon as people are, someone will come here and say this.
This page has been read 4000 times today so far…
Shaun says
My claim was upheld and my bank is showing a payment of £135 due to land on Tuesday 5th.
My CCJ still shows on my file and im still repaying this CCJ to Lowell who still respond that they know nothing.
Am i going to get the monies ive paid Lowell since Aug 2021 back and the CCJ be wiped??
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I hope so. I expect the poor communications between Provident and Lowell’s lack of helpfulness will get sorted.
Christine Weatherburn Kizzyo says
I’m in exactly the same position just checked my lowell solicitors account and it’s still open and this months re payment taken yesterday, lowell still responding they have heard absolutely nothing from provident and even though I have it in black & white the loan they bought was unaffordable at the moment lowell are saying it’s not worth the paper it’s wrote on till they hear from provident and as of 1/7 they still hadn’t.
Robert says
How can they be issuing payments if they don’t know the percentage they are paying ! ?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
They do know. It’s just they haven’t told anyone, which may include their Customer Services people.
Lou says
Hi All,
I’ve just come off the phone to them. the lad i was speaking to told me letter were meant to be issued today, but won’t go out now until next week with figures on. He didn’t the amounts just said if you have entered your bank details all monies should be in accounts by Friday next week. Fingers crossed for us all :)
Sarah says
My sister-in-law received a cheque in May for this and got extra for how long its taken, not sure why this happened as she’s the only one I know that’s had anything back
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I think that will have been a refund for some money she paid to Provident after the Scheme was set up. Not the general refund of interest paid.
Sarah says
She paid all what she owed through moorecroft over 10 months since so not sure, she did show me the letter stating it was to do with provident and gave her extra to apologise.
Angela Lang says
I received a cheque in May for £121 for payments made after scheme had been set up
Tracyfoster says
Has any 1 received yet ? When is it ment to be paid ??
Sara (Debt Camel) says
see all the other comments today!
Lyn says
Hi everyone I know it’s frustrating but I emailed them earlier today and this is the reply
Thank you for your email.
We are currently in the process of dispersing all compensation payments.
We expect bank transfers to reach bank accounts around 5 July (this could vary slightly depending on your bank).
Cheques will start to be issued from 5 July and should arrive within the first two weeks of July.
Fingers crossed that everyone receives their payment shortly
Saralou says
Hi – just come off the phone after a 25 min wait to get through. Chap said that compensation monies will be in bank accounts by next friday,
we may get the money before we receive the letter showing amounts, the call handlers do not have access to amounts paid.
Charlotte says
Please can you confirm what number you called
Sara (Debt Camel) says
really there is no point in calling them up at the moment. People are all being told variations on a theme.
Nicholas Haynes says
feel kinda sorry for the call handlers. Theyr’e given just enough information to shut the customer up but are the ones who take any abuse thrown. I woudn’t do that job and i’m front line NHS
Saralou says
0800 056 8936
Myra says
Hi,
Any idea when credit records will be cleaned? I was told the first week of July
Sara (Debt Camel) says
after Provident has closed everything down, if your credit records have not been cleaned you will be able to get the credit reference agencies to “suppress” the records, see https://debtcamel.co.uk/correct-credit-records-lender-administration/
Toni says
I spoke to lowell today and they said within 90 days x
Bren says
I’ve just spoken to someone.
Bank payments have been made today.
I asked how much he said he could tell but he could see a payment has been issued.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I have been told, not by Provident but by someone I consider reliable, that Provident are paying 4.2557p in the £.
So if your redress was £1000, you will receive about £42.
I don’t know if there is any chance of a small later payments. If there is, it will be very small. Much, much smaller than the first payment.
Lyn says
So am I right thinking that with my redress claim being £6417.17 I’ll receive about £273? Which, whilst it isn’t a lot, it will certainly help towards the rising cost of bills
Marc says
Yes Lyn, give or take a £ or two.
Lyn says
Thank you Marc
Lindsey says
Thank you Sara – I have only recently found this website & it has been a great help. Really appreciate the up to date information yourself & everyone else has posted recently.
Charlotte says
My letter said I should receive between £1,200 and £1,800 let’s hope it’s around that price, just would be nice to know what we are going to expect now it’s been months, the portal will not let you send a message anymore either
Sara (Debt Camel) says
it’s going to be towards the lower end of that range.
Charlotte says
Will just be nice to know how much now
Sara (Debt Camel) says
you can assume it will be 4.2557p in the £, see my comment earlier this evening.
Lorraine says
Well I think we all knew it was going to be the lower end let’s be honest there not Goni give the higher if they don’t need to
Marc says
Lorraine, they’re paying out £50m either way. The only thing that changes the % is the value of the loans that are accepted under the scheme.
If less loans are accepted, all other accepted loans would receive a higher % payout.
If more loans are accepted, the £50m is shared across more redress claims so each one is a lower %.
£50m is going to customers regardless.
Lorraine says
Yeah I get that but it’s just someone came on here stating that they knew someone linked to provident and said it would be 4. Something %
That’s why I wrote what I wrote
Marc says
Charlotte, around £1290/£1300 for you.
Charlotte says
Thanks Marc hope it arrive Tuesday
Charlotte says
Let’s hope we do get the payments by 5th July
Cyndy says
Can’t wait for my £4.00. Just can’t work out how to spend it.
Amanda says
Don’t think ill get much they are owe me bout 100 I think from 2700 but anything is a bonus right now when it arrives
Kim says
My redress is pending in my bank 👍 it says it will be cleared 3 days
Sam says
PAYMENT ALERT!
I am with Monzo and you can see your upcoming credits before they hit (BACS only). My payment is showing on my account now to hit on Tuesday so hopefully others will get theirs too.
Bren says
Ok I’m just updating you all provident have actually made a payment I can it on my account. It won’t clear until Monday because I’m with monzo bank and the give me an option to clear it early.
So they are telling the truth. I got the first estimate which is 658 from 17000
Hope this give you all reassurance. Xx
Charlotte says
Has this cleared in your account today
Faye says
Hi I check my bank this morning and I have a upcoming dierect debit payment coming in they paid me 20 pound more then my lower amount and will be available in my bank Tuesday
Wendy says
I bank with Monzo and my redress payment is now showing as available from 4pm on Monday so thought I’d post to let everyone know payments are definitely on the way… a lot less than it should be, but better than nothing! Good luck everyone
Richard says
FUNDS PENDING!!!
Hi all, I’m new to this to thread but just thought I would give an update.
I have a Monzo account, it is showing my Bacs credit as going into my account on Monday, for most people with standard accounts this means you will be be paid Tuesday 🙂
I can also confirm it is 4.2557% as stated.
Glad it’s eventually been sorted.
Ryan says
Morning all, I have a Monzo account and can see the payment has appeared and is pending for Monday. Hope this helps!
Emma says
Just to let you know I can see a payment pending in my account for slightly more than the lowest amount stated in the redress
Adam says
My starling bank account is showing a direct credit for the 5th July with my scheme reference. Looks to be the lower amount as predicted. Maybe a small amount to be paid later similar to moneyshop and others.
John Morgan says
Personally I don’t think it’s sorted, after what they done on the people ,by taking them to court and then embezzlement by way of this so called credit file, which just let’s the finance house charge you an extra levvie on loan rates if you have anything put against you on file, for them to offer 4.27p in the £ is an insult, there has to be another way
Ashley says
Hi Sara
Thanks for the info,
Did you reliable source tell you whether payments have commenced.
I guess the lack of communication is a little annoying.
I fully understand that the dates can change as we were in a similar situation with Money Shop. But I do think there was some better communication.
They had updated the FAQs to say that payments would be later.
But since I’ve heard about my potential redress which was in April,I’ve had no further communication.
I haven’t called or emailed hoping that they would do what they need and be in touch.
Just wondering that seeing as you have an idea about the redress percentage whether you know if they truly begun payments yesterday
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Yes, and you can see from other comments left overnight that people who bank with Monzo, Starling or HSBC can see payments pending for Tuesday. So people withe other banks may well see a payment appear on Tuesday.
Bren says
Ok I’m just updating you all provident have actually made a payment I can it on my account. It won’t clear until Monday because I’m with monzo bank and they give me a option to clear it early.

Charlotte says
I don’t have anything showing as pending on my account at the moment but I use metro bank so they might be why hopefully will go in on Tuesday if not I shall give them a call
Sara (Debt Camel) says
so far as I know, only Monzo, Starling and HSBC accounts show pending BACS payments.
Andy says
I bank with HSBC and have nothing pending
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Debbie, Andy, can you normally see pending BACS payments on your account?
Debbie says
Yes I normally do
Sara (Debt Camel) says
ok then hopefully you will be in a later batch.
(The alternative is that something went wrong with the payment – it may be they have the wrong account number out by one digit.)
Debbie says
I have checked my bank details on the portal and they are definitely correct.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Then I hope you won’t have a problem and you are just in a later batch.
Gemma says
Same here. Im with HSBC, nothing pending. I’m hoping they will pay into account instead of cheque. When I go to the portal I can see my bank details.
Emma says
Hi Sara on my redress letter it said between 137 and 205 so will I get the 137 or lower than that? Thankyou x
Sara (Debt Camel) says
probably a tiny bit more than £137
Sara (Debt Camel) says
Has anyone logged into their portal so see if there is a new letter there about the payment amount?
Emma says
Yes nothing there yet x
adele says
I just logged into my account on portal and there are no new letters or messages on there yet so portal has not been updated yet for me
Lindsey says
I’ve never been able to access the portal so usually rely on having to phone them. I am with bank of Scotland but they don’t show you pending payments unless they are leaving your account. Hopefully wake up on Tuesday morning to nice wee boost to my bank balance.
Eileen says
Hi all I am with Starling bank and it’s showing a payment due in Tuesday for £488 which equates to the amount mentioned previously of 4.25p to the £1 if that helps anyone
Charlotte says
Yes I have nothing new in there today, you can’t even send a message to them now either
Debbie says
I’m with HSBC and have no refund pending.
IAN R says
Let’s face it we new it would near the bottom end at 4.25 p they gave false hope when 6 p was forecast-same old story with these type companies-WARNING ⚠ DO NOT USE
Debbie says
I havent heard anything yet
But i was told i would recieved between £179.46- £269.19 & that was calculated from £4486.52 x 4 to 6pence in the pound i did recieved a cheque about a month ago for payments that were maded after aug 2021.And i would hear by 1st july .I am not sure what i would recieved.
Ann henderson says
I missed out they said form was in complete but was not informed they never sent email to me or my husband
Hazel says
Hi I’m with Cumberland building society and nothing pending yet and my redress stated between £275 & £350 and one know what I should receive portal just stated 2 redressed and I can’t do anything else on the portal
Ally says
I’m still waiting to hear back from the Adjudicator, 60 days up 9th July keep checking portal ,no update ,They had a loan on my claim account that wasn’t even mine and saying owed some on others ,when all was paid through Cabot on a DMP , luckily I kept all paperwork from 2011 from Provident showing my account number an loan numbers they sold and I had paperwork from Cabot saying balance £0 and showing what the amount owed that they bought from Privident and now all paid up ,a joke they tried to add accounts to get out of payout as all my loans but 2 i had were deemed unaffordable in claim.,I’m just glad I’m debt free from them now , since mid 90”s I add the robbing dogs ;now taking forever to get back to me as probably didn’t think I’d have all the proof I did about my accounts as 11yrs ago but I did ..Glad folk are getting back something now after robbing decent folk for own gains for so long !!
Ben says
I’ve just checked my bank account and there is an amount of £48.09 that will clear on Tuesday showing, so they have started making payments.
Elizabeth M says
Hoping it reached my Lloyds bank account this week!! I’m expecting £2,800 … I keep checking my bank .. grateful though
Julie Gardner says
Wow I hope you get it that’s the highest I’ve seen (normally 2 amounts)
Joanne says
Hi I’m new to this group I was told cheque would be issued I couldn’t put my bank details onto portal so will cheques be arriving this week
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I think they should be sent this week. That isn’t quite the same as saying they will arrive.
Lundsey says
I appealed my original offer had a message saying my appeal was unsuccessful will I still receive original offer thanks
Sara (Debt Camel) says
yes you will

Carol says
Is this with a reference such as 48cd-****-****. I have a amount showing in my Starling account going in on the 5th July and wasn’t sure who it was from. Reading here I think it might be provident
Charlotte says
Yeah it will that sort of reference, I can’t see anything in my account yet
Carol says
Thankyou Charlotte. Was wondering all day what that was from.
Clare Bloss says
I’ve just checked the portal and no new updates
I’m looking at £185-£277, I could have appealed but I was surprised I was getting anything.
Im unable to check with Santander on incoming pending amounts.
Hopef9next week fingers crossed
Steve says
No one has the portal updated or an email yet. Im with Santander and the wife is with Halifax and we both haven’t that feature to check incoming bacs.
Let’s hope for next week.
Charlotte says
No I haven’t received any updates on my bank or portal
Paul says
Hello, I should be receiving around £1300, I bank with hsbc not showing any pending yet. Is there Anybody else who bank with HSBC on here showing pending amount?
DL says
I’m the same with HSBC, can see pending payments but cannot see anything yet
Jodie says
I bank with hsbc and can see my payment will hit my account tomorrow hope yours is the same too this morning : )
Rachel lomas says
Does anyone know if my loans had an outstanding balance and was passed to a debt collection company will my compensation be paid to me or the debt collectors?
Marc says
They would have told you what is happening with yours on any redress related letters your have from them in the Scheme Portal.
Julie says
Hi Rachel
Mine was passed to debt collection company but has now been written off.
I’m presuming I will receive the compensation as they’ve asked for my bank details.
By reading other comments seems like Tuesday that it’s going in banks so will check then fingers crossed
Charlotte says
Hopefully we will get it Tuesday i hope something appears next week as we have been waiting a while now
Toni says
Mine went to lowell, I spoke to a lovely man from lowell on Friday and they have shut my account and refunding any money I paid since Aug 2021
Christine says
Really I spoke to lowell solicitors on Friday and man I spoke to was rude and obnoxious and was basically calling me a liar and if I failed to continue to pay my account I faced bailiff action!!!
Toni says
The one I spoke to looked on my account and confirmed they had a letter from provident asking then to close account, pay of balance ( which was around 2500 so that made my day) and refund any payments from Aug 2021. Told me i would get the refund in a couple weeks
Christine says
The man I spoke too said they had heard absolutely nothing from provident regarding my account being classed as unaffordable, and refused to put my account on hold temporarily or even let me reduce my monthly repayments until they heard from provident regarding my account he was very very unhelpful and abrupt “saying as you were told on your last telephone conversation your account is still live and you must continue to make your monthly repayments or accept the consequences”
shaun stringer says
Exactly the same.
They will persue legal action and bailiffs if i dont pay. Ive been paying for over 3 years and nearli paid off so im a bit anoyed i SHOULD only get money back from Aug 21 Lowell Solicitors are not helpful and very rude on the phone
Toni says
Not sure if ots because mine is with lowell and nor lowell solicitors? No doubt same office though. Lowell did tell me they had only just been informed about a week ago, hopefully yours will get closed too
Mandy says
My 2 sons had theirs past on to recovery against 1 was pasted to past due solutions and 1 was with Lowell they set up direct debits to pay after 2 months they could not get on to either site with account numbers received a letter several weeks later that the debts had been settled and no outstanding money was to be paid unfortunately they missed the compensation deadline but at least no recovery from provident which was still a positive outcome …I had been with provident since 1988 had to take out a DRO in 2014 joined the compensation route and shud get between £250 /£375 which either way is a bit in the bank
Glynis says
Does anyone know when the later batch will be paid out
June says
Hsbc is usually pending from 4 am the day before so in the morning hopefully
Julie says
How does the 8:% interest work.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
No tax has been paid on the amount you are receiving, so there is nothing to be reclaimed, if that is what you are wondering.
Julie says
Apologies I meant interest not tax
Sara (Debt Camel) says
8% statutory interest was calculated by provident when they worked out your total redress. This is pretty fiddly for you to check and if you think they got it wrong, it is too late to appeal it.
Annie says
My adjudicator decision was partially upheld on 24 th with other loans already upheld .Theyvtold me I’d get a letter from adjudicator but not arrived yet Do you think they will pay me both together or original decision then adjudicator
Sara (Debt Camel) says
I’m sorry I can’t guess.
Susan Knowles says
Are we expecting funds in are account this week then fingers crossed but I will believe this when it happens
DL says
I’ve never had a problem logging into the portal at all, but this last few days I cannot log into the portal at all, it just will not let me. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m just wondering if it connected to payments going out?
Margaret says
I am the same haven’t been able to log into portal for last 3 days .I emailed them and no reply yet
Greg says
Is it safe to assume that Provident will be sending out further payments this week? If you were not among those who had payments processed Friday, then payments processed tomorrow, Tuesday or Wednesday in our accounts Wednesday, Thursday or Friday?
Sara (Debt Camel) says
You can’t safely assume anything I am afraid.
Greg says
For a scheme that was granted.by the courts, who is overseeing this process? Customers are being given little or no information, the information they are given varies from person to person and is often incorrect and this against a backdrop of loans that have been deemed unaffordable but customers are getting back a tiny percentage of the high interest amounts they were charged. Not to mention the absolute age it is taking for this incompetent process to be carried out.
Sara (Debt Camel) says
no one oversees it. You can go to court to challenge it if you want – but that doesn’t make sense for small amounts of money or when your complaint is about delays. It is a rotten system and that is exactly what Provident wanted – something where they could get away with paying little and not bother about proviving any good customer service either.

I just hope all the people that got loans from these companies are in a better place now as you need to be pretty desperate to take out loans with them. The interest is crazy and has basically been seen as illegal so although this repayment is better than nothing it’s still a complete insult.
Clare Bloss says
So anybody have anything in their accounts this morning?
Would be good to hear if the payment are coming through.
At least we’ll know its just a waiting game.
